What users can and can't do using the API
Klaxoon provides APIs to integrate Klaxoon further into your ecosystem, whether you're an IT professional or not (via Zapier app). Klaxoon's API are available from our Developer Platform, centralizing access and relevant documentations.

Multiple API allows to connect third-party products or services to Klaxoon and exchange data programmatically (API Board, Embed API, Results API).

We also provides Enterprise API's (limited to Enterprise plans): Audit Logs API allows monitoring of specific events happening in the client's Klaxoon environment; SCIM API allows seamless provisioning, management, and de-provisioning of Klaxoon user accounts within a company using the SCIM protocol.

Klaxoon provides several possibilities of customization within it's platform:

Branding - add your logo to the Klaxoon homepage
Graphic design themes - Klaxoon provides specific services to design and integrate tailor-made graphic design skins for some of its tools (Adventure, Mission, Board - extra cost).
Templates - All Klaxoon activities can be turned into a template.
Security - ​Advanced settings are available for security features (Enterprise plan only).

Klaxoon cloud platform is scalable by nature. A supervision team is in place to analyze traffic and load-balancers are used to optimize it. In addition, in order to ensure a consistent performance and support increase in customer demand, sizing is anticipated and planned to meet medium and long term growth needs.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Klaxoon annual availability rate commitment is 99%, excluding scheduled maintenance time. The observed annual availablility rate is above 99.5%.
Approach to resilience
Klaxoon cloud platform infrastructure offers automatic horizontal scalability and high resilience, critical software components are redundant on separate servers.
Klaxoon service instances (application and data) are distributed across multiple availability zones. If a disaster impacts an instance, another instance in another availability zone will handle the requests. The failover is automatic.

Moreover, Klaxoon incrementally backs up transactional data several times a days, and the entire platform every 24h. Backups are also distributed and encrypted, they are stored for 4 weeks.

Klaxoon has implemented and maintains a comprehensive information security policy consisting of several policies applied to security controls implemented throughout the organization.

The structure of security policies is based on the ISO 27001 standard and the ISO 27002 best practice guide, as well as the best security practices of the most reputable cloud providers.

Changes to policies are made periodically, to ensure that it is relevant to the evolution of Information Security risks. They are validated by the management.

Security governance:
A Security Committee is in place and meets at regular intervals. It is responsible for approving the security policies and their evolutions, and for making arbitrations at a strategic level.

Klaxoon Change Management Policy is inline with ITIL referential and compliant with SOC2.
The request management process follows a workflow: requests are tracked from the time they are submitted to their validation for production (formalization and registration of the request, scheduling, testing, impact analysis, rollback procedure, etc.), assessment of the request, validation or refusal, implementation, monitoring of the impacts/benefits of the change, and closure of the request.
Throughout the process, security impacts are assessed to ensure that a change to one or more components does not give rise to a vulnerability or impact the availability of services or platform.

Vulnerability management approach
Klaxoon's Vulnerability Management Policy is proactive and based on:
- Software and infrastructure components monitoring for known vulnerabilities and obsolescence, alert mechanism is in place;
- Active security watch (CVSS, editor alerts, specialized press): vulnerabilities are analyzed, IT teams are alerted for resolution;
- Obsolescence management jointly with the cloud platform provider;
- Infrastructure hardening following security agencies recommendations;
- A Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure policy (CVD).

Vulnerabilities are analyzed by Klaxoon security team. The latter relies on the CVSS score and their knowledge of Klaxoon's platform to determine the urgency and impact. Critical vulnerabilities are patched as soon as possible.

The platform is continuously monitored, a mechanism is in place to detect certain behaviors and alert the Operations team, who can act accordingly.

Klaxoon provides a 24/7 automatic alarm based on-call duty. In case of detection of an exceptional and critical incident compromising the Service and/or Client data outside working hours, an emergency procedure is triggered to take the necessary actions to mitigate the incident.

Fighting climate change

Every day, we strive to reduce our carbon footprint, promote energy efficiency and support environmentally friendly initiatives. We carried out a carbon assessment in 2021, and this year we are carrying out a new assessment for the 2023 financial year. We have set up an energy-saving plan, communicated an eco-gestures guide to our employees and launched a program to raise awareness of climate issues with the "Fresque du Climat" training course.

Covid-19 recovery

Here are the measures implemented during the pandemic :
• Introduction of teleworking for all employees, followed by a gradual return to our premises with a 50% occupancy rate until February 2022.
• Social distancing measures in offices, closure of cafeteria
• Self-test kit available, FFP2 masks, wipes.
• Reinforced housekeeping instructions in premises for cleaning contact points.

Tackling economic inequality

Klaxoon has chosen to play a role in the "Wi-filles" project by welcoming groups of girls aged 14 to 17 on our Campus to inspire them in their choice of future profession: discovery of our workspace, testimonials, workshops The Wi-filles project aims to break down stereotypes about digital professions.
