Prolifics Testing is committed to identifying and minimising the environmental impacts of its office-based activities as well as those resulting from the delivery of its training courses, whilst striving to improve its environmental performance wherever possible. As a part of the technology industry, we realise we have a significant responsibility to encourage, enable and lead the way to a net zero carbon economy. We aim to minimise our impact and reduce our carbon footprint by using less physical resources, using less energy and using energy smarter.
To pursue this aim we set out to:
• Ensure that all employees fully understand the environmental aspects and impacts pertaining to their day-to-day work.
• Mandating to our teams that test environments are only powered on when they are needed to run tests, making sure to power them down overnight and at weekends, plus when tests are not being run.
• Use virtualised environments for testing
• Prioritise and optimise test cases, especially where regression tests are needed, to avoid running tests that have little value
• Use test automation wherever possible, which cuts down on testing run times significantly
• Promote environmentally sustainable business travel wherever practicable, encouraging the use of remote meetings as the default option between colleagues and clients
• Purchase sustainably wherever it is cost effective to do so
• Encourage staff to actively contribute ideas for further environmental improvements and savings
• Ensure knowledge of and compliance with environmental legislation relevant to our business activities
Our environmental statement is owned by our Head of Practice, who has ultimate responsibility to ensure our business meets these goals. - Covid-19 recovery

Covid-19 recovery
We recognise that work has fundamentally changed as a result of the pandemic and as an organisation, we have pivoted to allow significantly more remote working for our employees, even full time remote positions, with the managerial support and training to remain an integral part of the team. We are now able to offer more technology employment opportunities outside of the South East, around in demand areas including Cloud, Mobile, Automation, and IT Security. Prolifics actively recruit talent in disadvantaged, more remote areas to enable us to spread our geographic reach, which has been assisted by our customers being more accepting of services delivered remotely, particularly considering Cloud.
As well as encouraging remote working, we have reduced non essential business travel and increased social distancing in our offices by reducing the numbers of people regularly attending but also increasing the frequency / rigour of cleaning. - Equal opportunity

Equal opportunity
Prolifics are a proud promoter of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities in the workplace. We have a well established Equal Opportunities Policy in place that states a clear definition of the duties of every employee, including definitions of direct and indirect discrimination. Our policy includes details on sources of recruitment, advertising and selection methods for new employees, to ensure appointments are based on job requirements and an individual's ability to do, or to train for, the job in question. The result is a highly diverse workforce, which is to the benefit of our company, our staff and the clients we work with. - Wellbeing

Wellbeing
At Prolifics, we prioritize the health and wellbeing of our team members. Our comprehensive wellness program includes private healthcare with extensive dental coverage, ensuring our employees have access to the best medical care. To foster continuous health improvement, our dedicated HR team circulates monthly wellness newsletters. These provide a wealth of information, ranging from wellbeing tips and nutritious recipes to guidance on accessing our robust employee support services.
We collaborate with our partner, Cigna, to host quarterly wellness webinars. These sessions cover vital topics such as stress management, achieving a work-life balance, and fostering the wellbeing of children, contributing to a holistic approach to health. Our commitment to employee wellness is recognized with a Silver level Healthy Workforce designation from Cigna.
Additionally, we encourage active lifestyles through our Global Fitness Challenge. This six-week program, open to all employees, promotes friendly competition and fitness tracking using compatible devices, with prizes for participants.
Finally, we provide all of our staff with the training and development resources they need to progress, both personally and for the good of the projects they work on. We have established Prolifics University, which is a mechanism to ensure all employees have access to training as a part of their 3-6-9-12 month appraisal reviews. Training is provided via our online catalogue or in person and recorded in our staff portal, to track progression.
