- Configuration and change management standard
- Supplier-defined controls
- Configuration and change management approach
- All production environment changes are documented in a change control process; reviewed, tested and approved. We run a BLUE-GREEN deployment environment (changes are made to a duplicate infrastructure, tested and then made live by instantly switching infrastructure).
- Vulnerability management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Vulnerability management approach
- Ecliptic Dynamics conducts host scans on all software and applications within the host environment. Patching and software updates are centrally distributed to ensure all users have the most up to date and secure software versions available. If there is evidence to suggest that a vulnerability is being actively exploited in the wild, mitigations are in place immediately. If there is no evidence that a vulnerability is being actively exploited: ‘Critical’ patches deployed within hours ‘Important’ patches deployed within 2 weeks of a patch becoming available ‘Other’ patches deployed within 8 weeks of a patch becoming available.
- Protective monitoring type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Protective monitoring approach
- OIS is monitored and audited for unauthorised access and unusual CPU usage on the system. During normal working hours this is actively monitored and any unusual activity is reacted to as soon as it is identified. The data is audited and if required instigates an investigation into the activity to define the nature of it and if it is a threat to the service.
- Incident management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Incident management approach
- Users can report potential incidents directly to Ecliptic Dynamics using email or the Service Desk Portal. We actively monitor for events as previously defined. Any incident flagged is escalated to the senior leadership team and a Director is appointed to lead the response to the event. Following analysis of the event a containment process proportionate to the risk is deployed. Users who are potentially affected are notified as soon as possible. Following containment, we conduct a review followed by appropriate countermeasures being deployed based on the lessons identified. Users are updated via email on findings and actions taken.
