RI Platform provides an API that enables users to integrate the service with external systems and automate analytics workflows. The API can be used to submit data, trigger analyses, retrieve results, and manage jobs within an existing workspace.
Initial service setup, user management, and security configuration are performed through the web-based interface. The API is intended to support automation and integration rather than full administrative control. Access to API functionality is subject to authentication, authorisation, and usage controls, and some advanced configuration options may be restricted to protect service stability and security - API documentation

- Description of customisation
-
RI Platform can be customised through configuration rather than bespoke development. Users can customise analytics settings, models, and parameters; define data sources and workflows; configure dashboards, visualisations, and outputs; and manage users, roles, and permissions within their organisation.
Customisation is carried out through the secure, web-based user interface and, where appropriate, via the service API for automation. Configuration options are controlled by role-based access, so only authorised users can make changes. More advanced configuration or enablement support can be provided by Reliable Insights as part of the onboarding process or as an optional professional service.
Scaling
- Independence of resources
- RI Platform is designed as a multi-tenant service with logical isolation between customer environments, using scalable load management where required. Workspaces, data, and analytics workloads are segregated, and resource usage is monitored and managed to prevent one user’s activity from adversely impacting others. Capacity management, scheduling, and usage controls are applied to ensure fair and reliable performance across tenants. Where required, higher-capacity or dedicated arrangements can be agreed as part of a call-off contract.

Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
-
RI Platform is designed to be highly available and is operated to deliver a target service availability of 99.5% measured on a monthly basis, excluding planned maintenance. Planned maintenance windows are scheduled in advance where possible and communicated to users.
Availability commitments and any associated service level agreements (SLAs) are agreed as part of the call-off contract. Where a guaranteed level of availability is not met, service credits or refunds may be applied in line with the agreed SLA. The specific form and value of any service credits are defined contractually and reflect the nature and duration of the service disruption. - Approach to resilience
-
RI Platform is designed with resilience built into the application and infrastructure layers. The service uses a cloud-based architecture with monitored components, automated recovery mechanisms, and capacity management to maintain service availability. Application services are containerised and can be restarted or rescheduled in the event of failure.
The underlying infrastructure is hosted in professionally managed datacentres operated by a third-party provider, with resilient power, cooling, and network connectivity. Service health is continuously monitored, and alerts are used to identify and respond to issues promptly.
Backup and recovery processes are in place to protect customer data and support restoration in the event of service disruption. Further detail on the datacentre resilience and recovery arrangements can be provided on request. - Outage reporting
-
RI Platform reports service outages through direct communication with affected users. In the event of an unplanned service disruption, users are notified by email as soon as reasonably practicable, with updates provided until the issue is resolved.
Service health is monitored continuously, and incidents are logged and managed through internal incident management processes. Where appropriate, post-incident summaries can be provided on request. A public status dashboard or outage reporting API is not currently provided, but service status information is available to customers through support channels.

- User authentication
-
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Username or password
- Access restrictions in management interfaces and support channels
- Access to management interfaces is restricted to authorised personnel using role-based access control and least-privilege principles. Administrative access requires authenticated accounts and multi-factor authentication, with permissions granted based on job role and reviewed periodically. Support channels are accessed via authenticated email or ticketing systems, and customer-specific information is only shared with verified contacts. All access to management functions and support systems is logged and monitored, and credentials are managed securely in line with internal security policies.

- Security governance approach
- Reliable Insights approaches security governance through defined policies, processes, and accountability aligned with recognised good practice and the Software Security Code of Practice. Security responsibilities are owned by senior management and embedded within product development and operations. This includes access control, secure configuration, vulnerability management, regular patching, incident management, and periodic security testing. Changes are managed through controlled build and deployment processes to reduce risk and ensure consistency. Risks are reviewed and managed on an ongoing basis, and security considerations are incorporated into onboarding, change management, and off-boarding processes.
- Information security policies and processes
-
Reliable Insights maintains information security policies and processes aligned with recognised good practice and the Software Security Code of Practice. These cover areas including access control, data protection, secure configuration, incident management, vulnerability management, and business continuity.
Security responsibilities are defined and owned at senior management level, with day-to-day responsibilities embedded within product development and operational teams. Access to systems and data is controlled using role-based permissions and least-privilege principles, and changes are managed through controlled build and deployment processes to reduce risk and ensure consistency.
Policies are communicated to relevant staff and are reviewed periodically. Compliance is supported through operational controls, monitoring, and periodic security testing. Security incidents or risks are logged, assessed, and managed through defined escalation and response processes, with lessons learned used to improve controls over time. - Software Security Code of Practice

Operational security
- Configuration and change management standard
- Supplier-defined controls
- Configuration and change management approach
- RI Platform components are tracked throughout their lifecycle using version control and documented configuration records. Changes to application code, configuration, or infrastructure are managed through controlled build and deployment processes. Proposed changes are reviewed for operational and security impact prior to release, with testing used to reduce risk. Security considerations, including access control, data protection, and dependency updates, form part of change assessment. Changes are logged and can be rolled back where required.
- Vulnerability management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Vulnerability management approach
- Reliable Insights manages vulnerabilities through a risk-based process. Potential threats are identified through monitoring of supplier advisories, security mailing lists, vulnerability databases, and results from periodic security testing. Reported vulnerabilities are assessed for impact and likelihood, and remediation is prioritised accordingly. Security patches and updates are applied in a timely manner through controlled build and deployment processes, with higher-risk issues addressed more urgently. Changes are tested prior to release to reduce the risk of service disruption.
- Protective monitoring type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Protective monitoring approach
- RI Platform uses continuous service and security monitoring to identify potential compromises, including review of system logs, alerts, and anomalous behaviour. Monitoring data is used to detect unauthorised access, unexpected activity, or service degradation. When a potential compromise is identified, it is assessed promptly and escalated according to defined incident management procedures. Response actions may include containment, investigation, remediation, and user notification where appropriate. Incidents are prioritised based on impact and severity, with higher-risk issues responded to as soon as reasonably practicable.
- Incident management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Incident management approach
- Reliable Insights operates defined incident management processes for common operational and security events. Users can report incidents via email or the support ticketing system. Incidents are logged, assessed, and prioritised based on impact and severity, with predefined response steps for common scenarios. Users are kept informed of progress as appropriate. Following resolution, incident summaries or reports can be provided on request, including details of cause, impact, and remedial actions taken.
