Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
Users may require training in rule building, for which there are a series of online training modules. The training can be self-serve or delivered by 1Spatial staff. This can be delivered at its own training facility in Cambridge or on the client's site.

1Spatial can also provide consultancy services to create the rules on behalf of the client.

Every feature of 1Integrate is thoroughly documented including the REST API which has Swagger documentation.

End-of-contract data extraction
The service is typically not used to store data, but process data and deliver output data which is typically stored elsewhere. It is therefore unlikely that there will be a need to extract any data when the contract ends, although the service itself contains the tools needed to backup/export and deliver rules or data as required.

It is possible to purchase the system to run on-premise and to save the rules from the cloud environment to the on-premise environment. These are exported and delivered as JSON documents.
End-of-contract process
Prior to the contract ending, we recommend that users download any data that they wish to retain (e.g. data-stores, configuration, or details on data workflows). At the end of the contract, access to the system will be withdrawn, and the instance will be spun down. There are no fees nor costs associated with the contract ending. Once the contract has ended, payments for the service will also cease.

API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
1Integrate has an extensive API that allows for all activity possible via the UI, with the exception of building rules for geospatial data processing. Users may clone data stores, run sessions and access reports regarding session results.

Although users may not set up the service via the API, they may configure and manage the service via the API. For example, managing engines, performing backup and restore etc.

The API is expressly designed for and often-used for integrating with other workflows and systems e.g. FME Flow, Camunda, ArcGIS Workflow Manager, etc.

Description of customisation
1Integrate is a highly configurable geospatial data rules engine.

It allows for users to build rules and actions for managing geospatial data, create straight-through processes, upload and manage data-stores.

The UI may be customised with themes, logos etc.

The power of 1Integrate lies in its ability to be configured for customers' specific needs. This ability lies firmly in the hands of the customer, through the software's configuration options.

Scaling

Independence of resources
We deploy separate instances of the application for each customer, with computing resources ring-fenced for that application instance. Within a single instance, we offer differing levels of compute, and work with prospective customers (e.g. by offering a free trial where indicative data of the anticipated size is used) to ensure that their usage does cause service degradation.

Users can also interact with the results of the validation session using an interactive map viewer.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Customers are given the option of how they wish the software to be deployed: in the cloud by 1Spatial, in the cloud by the customer, or on-premise by the customer.

For the first of these only (aka only where the software is deployed in the cloud by 1Spatial), we offer availability SLAs. For all three of these options (1Spatial cloud, customer cloud, on-prem) we have other SLAs relating to support, which you can find elsewhere in these application answers.

The SLAs for availability specify that the software will be accessible 24/7/365. The production environment will have guaranteed availability, with 99% uptime between the hours of 9 AM – 5.30 PM UK Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

If these guaranteed levels of availability are not met, we commit to refunding users for downtime in designated projects if the system is of critical business importance. Details are available on request.
Approach to resilience
This information is available on request.
Outage reporting
We provide email alerts in case of a system outage. This does not include scheduled downtime, for which there is a separate notification process.
