Service constraints
Data Literacy Academy’s services are designed to be flexible and cloud-based, with minimal constraints. Buyers should be aware of the following considerations:

The OnDemand learning platform is delivered as a cloud-based SaaS service and requires reliable internet access and a modern web browser.

Single Sign-On (SSO) integration is dependent on timely access to customer technical contacts and identity management systems.

Live education sessions require advance scheduling and coordination with customer stakeholders.

No specialist hardware is required, and the service does not depend on specific customer-owned technology beyond standard enterprise IT environments.

Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
Data Literacy Academy supports users through a structured onboarding and enablement approach designed to ensure rapid adoption and effective use of the service.

Onboarding and setup

Initial onboarding is delivered in collaboration with the buyer and includes platform setup, access configuration (including Single Sign-On where required), and confirmation of user roles and learning pathways.

A customer success team supports the buyer during onboarding and early rollout.

Training and enablement

Online training is provided through live virtual sessions and/or recorded content to introduce users to the platform and learning experience.

On-site training can be provided where required, subject to agreement with the buyer.

Documentation and self-service support

User guides, onboarding materials, and help documentation are provided digitally and made available within the platform and via email.

Step-by-step guidance supports users in accessing learning content, tracking progress, and participating in live sessions.

Ongoing support

Adoption and usage are reviewed during agreed service check-ins, and onboarding materials can be refreshed for new users or cohorts as needed.

This approach ensures users can start using the service quickly while providing appropriate support for both initial rollout and ongoing use.

Discovery and planning workshops to understand organisational context and goals

Learner needs analysis to define appropriate pathways and cohorts

Configuration of learning journeys and reporting within the platform by Data Literacy Academy

Ongoing review and refinement based on usage data, feedback, and programme performance

Customisation requests are agreed during onboarding or through ongoing service reviews and implemented by Data Literacy Academy as part of the contracted service.

Scaling

Independence of resources
Data Literacy Academy delivers its service using a scalable, cloud-based architecture designed to support multiple organisations concurrently while maintaining performance and reliability.

The service operates on a logically segregated, multi-tenant model, where each customer’s data, configurations, and access controls are isolated from those of other customers. This ensures that user activity from one organisation does not affect the security or visibility of another.

This approach ensures users receive a reliable service experience regardless of demand from other customers.

The service is designed to achieve 99.5% availability measured on a monthly basis, excluding planned maintenance windows and circumstances outside of reasonable control (for example, force majeure events).

Availability covers access to the core learning platform and associated functionality.
Planned maintenance is scheduled, where possible, outside standard UK business hours.
Buyers are notified in advance of any planned maintenance that may impact service availability.
Planned maintenance periods are excluded from availability calculations.

Service level agreements (SLAs)

Availability targets and service levels are defined within the contract or call-off agreement agreed with the buyer. Where required, availability reporting can be provided as part of regular service reviews.

Service credits and refunds

If the guaranteed level of availability is not met, remedies are handled in accordance with the agreed contract terms.

This may include:

Service credits applied against future invoices, or other remedies agreed with the buyer on a case-by-case basis

Refunds or service credits are not automatic and are assessed based on the nature, duration, and impact of the availability issue, in line with contractual agreements.
