API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
Users can use the Corti AI Platform APIs to integrate healthcare-grade AI capabilities directly into their own applications and systems.

**Service setup through the API:**
Users set up the service by registering an application, authenticating using OAuth, and configuring tenant access. Once authenticated, they can call REST and WebSocket APIs to enable services such as speech-to-text, text generation, medical coding, contextual search, and agent-based workflows. Audio or text data can be submitted for real-time or asynchronous processing, and results are returned programmatically for use within the customer’s application.

**Making changes through the API:**
Users can change how the service behaves by modifying API request parameters, configuration options, and workflow logic within their own applications. This includes enabling or disabling specific capabilities, adjusting processing modes, and orchestrating multi-step workflows using the agent framework. Changes take effect immediately through API calls without requiring changes to underlying infrastructure.

**Limitations:**
The API provides access to Corti’s application-level AI services but does not allow users to deploy custom models, manage infrastructure, or alter platform-level security, scaling, or availability controls. Certain limits, advanced features, and usage thresholds are defined by contract and may require agreement with Corti rather than self-service configuration.

Description of customisation
How users can customise your service

What can be customised:
Users can customise how Corti’s AI capabilities behave and integrate within their own applications. This includes choosing which API endpoints to call (e.g., speech-to-text, text generation, medical coding, search, agents), selecting processing modes (real-time vs. asynchronous), and tailoring request parameters to control output structure and content. Developers can design how results are used in workflows, such as generating specific note formats or orchestrating logic via the agentic framework. The Corti API also supports configuring the embedded assistant’s behaviour when integrated into host applications.

Scaling

Independence of resources
Corti operates a cloud-based, multi-tenant service with logical tenant isolation to separate customer data and processing. The platform uses scalable cloud infrastructure to manage demand and maintain consistent performance across users. Continuous system monitoring and capacity management help ensure that one customer’s usage does not adversely impact others, in line with Corti’s service availability commitments.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Corti guarantees a minimum service availability of 99% uptime, as described in its public Support Commitments: https://help.corti.app/en/articles/10361880-corti-s-support-commitments Availability is measured at the service level and is designed to support continuous access to the Corti API for production healthcare workloads. If the guaranteed availability level is not met, remedies are handled in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and contractual terms agreed with the customer. Any service credits, refunds, or other remedies are defined in the contract or order form rather than in the public documentation. Planned maintenance and availability exclusions are also defined contractually to ensure transparency for buyers.
Approach to resilience
Corti API is designed to be resilient and reliable through the use of cloud-native architecture and fully managed infrastructure. The service operates on scalable cloud platforms that are engineered to minimise single points of failure and maintain availability during fluctuations in demand. Core components are designed with redundancy, and capacity is managed dynamically to support continuous service delivery. Corti continuously monitors service health, performance, and availability using automated monitoring and alerting. This enables early detection of issues and rapid response to incidents. Defined incident management and escalation processes ensure that critical issues are prioritised and addressed promptly to reduce service impact. Customer data and processing are logically isolated by tenant, helping protect workloads and prevent cross-customer impact during operational issues. Regular maintenance and updates are performed in a controlled manner to minimise disruption. Datacentre resilience is provided by Corti’s third-party cloud hosting providers, which operate multiple geographically distributed data centres with built-in redundancy for power, networking, and physical security. These providers comply with recognised industry standards for security and resilience. Further details on datacentre locations, disaster recovery arrangements, and resilience measures are available on request and governed by contractual and security requirements.
Outage reporting
Customers are informed of significant incidents and outages via email and direct support communications, in line with Corti’s support commitments. Incident updates and resolution communications are coordinated by Corti’s support team, with escalation handled according to severity and contractual support arrangements.

Identity and authentication

User authentication needed
Yes
User authentication
  • Public key authentication (including by TLS client certificate)
  • Username or password
  • Other
Other user authentication
We rely on the OIDC standard with the client_credentials grant. This will return an access_token that can then be used for subsequent API calls. This could be classified as both, public key authentication due to the signing algorithms of the access_token or username and password considering the client_credentials grant.
Access restrictions in management interfaces and support channels
Access to management interfaces is controlled using secure authentication, including SSO options and role-based access control. Only users with explicit permissions can access or manage data and settings. For support channels, access is managed by user roles and feature flags -ermissions can be set to show or hide support options for specific users or the whole organization. This ensures only authorized users can access sensitive management or support features.
