What users can and can't do using the API
The S&P Global Market Intelligence API Solutions, using Restful APIs, provides on-demand enterprise data access more securely and with fewer resources than traditional data feeds. Access a comprehensive list of financial and non-financial data sets allowing you to pick and choose the data you need without hosting a database. Developers can leverage secure web services to dynamically access S&P Global datasets, and curated third-party datasets, or can interact directly with the web services via REST/JSON. The datasets available via the API do not directly mirror those in the desktop platform, so some datasets available via Desktop may not be available via API, but generally the data is the same across platforms. APIs are licensed separately to Desktop, and due to the tailored natured of the service subscriptions to the API service are reviewed subject to individual request.

version, configuration settings, and dependencies, are documented. This
allows for accurate tracking and management of components throughout
their lifecycle. Before implementing any changes, S&P Global assesses them for potential security impact. This assessment involves evaluating the security implications of the proposed changes, including any potential vulnerabilities or risks that may arise.

assessments, dynamic vulnerability assessments (for web applications and web APIs), and manual and penetration tests if deemed necessary, during the SDLC
