End-of-contract data extraction
Data can be extracted in a secure encrypted fashion at end of contract. Depending upon the quantity of data required, this service could be chargeable on a time and materials cost basis only. Medtronic Ltd and Corsano Health are fully GDPR compliant. Corsano Health retains patient data in the cloud in fully anonymised form to support service improvement. Clients may request deletion of specific patient data to comply with GDPR. Data stored on patient phones remains unless the patient removes the app, and customers are advised to proactively wipe returned devices using the automatic prompt to remove legacy data. In cases of lost or stolen bracelets, Corsano can remotely delete all cloud-stored data and deactivate the account. The product only accesses pseudonymised data, not personally identifiable or NHS-held patient data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and maintaining patient privacy.
End-of-contract process
Initial contract length is proposed at two year with option to extend. Customers will receive reasonable advance notice wherever practicable and ensure customers can retrieve all relevant data before the service is closed.

The mobile app is designed for daily use, pairing with the bracelet, displaying vitals, performing ECG spot measurements, managing calibration and troubleshooting Bluetooth/cloud connectivity. The desktop web portal is intended for clinical monitoring, offering multi-patient dashboards, visual and audible alarms, data review and trend analysis for healthcare staff."
Service interface
Yes
User support accessibility
None or don’t know
Description of service interface
The Corsano Web Portal enables the HCP to manage the monitoring of their patients' data. Via a web browser, the HCP configures the data to be monitored, the physiological alarms, and visualises the list of patients and vital parameters obtained from the Corsano Bracelet. Parameters measured by compatible third-party medical devices are displayed on the Corsano Web Portal. When alarm conditions are met, the Corsano Web Portal generates visible and audible alarms.
Accessibility standards
None or don’t know
Description of accessibility
Accessibility for the Corsano CardioWatch bracelet and web portal focuses on ensuring that patients and HCPs can easily use the system regardless of physical, sensory or technical limitations. The bracelet is designed to be lightweight, non-invasive, simple to wear, enabling continuous monitoring without active user interaction. The web portal supports clear dashboards, readable data visualisations, and intuitive navigation to reduce cognitive load for clinicians. Secure remote access allows HCP to review patient data remotely. Together, these features promote inclusive use, improve usability in clinical environments, and help ensure that vital health information is accessible, timely, and actionable for all users.
Accessibility testing
Corsano designs its CardioWatch 287 system with user needs at the center, engaging patients, HCP and clinicians from the earliest requirements phase. User input has informed product development through interviews, usability engineering, and iterative testing. Since 2021, at least four usability campaigns have been conducted, including design-phase assessments and clinical investigations (WATCH-IT in Norway and Sweden; ENDOWATCH in the Netherlands). User acceptance testing validates the system’s usability, supported by onboarding documents and workflow guidance to simplify enrollment, pairing, and use.

The Corsano system supports full patient monitoring, in hospital or at home, with clear mapping of user journeys and integration into clinical pathways. While WCAG 2.1 AA compliance is not yet achieved, work is underway to meet accessibility standards.

Development is supported by a multidisciplinary team; clinicians, software and hardware engineers, data scientists, quality specialists, and sale. Following agile methodologies for continuous improvement. Objectives, KPIs, and benefits are tracked via the ISO 13485 QMS.

The Cloud-based system aligns with NHS Cloud First and Internet-First policies, uses common components and protocols (HTTPS, AWS), and is supported by a Service Level Agreement. Performance reporting and system availability are provided online, with average uptime of 99.99% over the past 90 days.
API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
The Corsano REST API lets developers integrate securely with Corsano’s Health Cloud and Users Cloud to access health and user data from Corsano devices. You can authenticate via OAuth 2.0/JWT, retrieve real‑time and historical vital signs, manage studies and patients (for researchers), and export metrics programmatically. The API supports authorised data queries, study creation, patient lists, summaries, and raw metric exports. However, you cannot use the API without proper tokens and permissions, access unrelated personal data, or bypass authentication; large exports are rate‑limited and research‑level features require appropriate API keys and roles.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Corsano Health and Medtronic Limited will use its commercially reasonable endeavours to ensure the device and software is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day except for planned maintenance during non-critical time periods (typically 06:00 UK time) on five working days' notice.
Approach to resilience
It has been designed as a serverless architecture, which means that Corsano does not have to manage the underlying infrastructure itself. Daily backups of the S3 instance and the Atlas MongoDB databases are performed. AWS CloudTrail takes snapshots of the backup storage status and logs events to enable recovery in case of disruptions. The Corsano Cloud monitors and logs various parameters such as code exceptions, cloud performance, API availability, and the status of the backup storage.
Outage reporting
Incidents can be reported directly on a 24/7 basis, both by email and phone. In the event of a (potential) security incident, the supplier will contact the client as soon as possible. Faults are recorded on the monitoring platform in an error log (also at debug level). All devices are logged and registered to record and track issues. Logs can be shared by the Corsano App to give Developers deep insight in the malfunctioning of the system.
