How the web chat support is accessible
The web chat is delivered through a standard in browser interface, meaning it benefits from native browser accessibility features such as screen reader compatibility, zoom controls, high contrast display modes, and keyboard navigation. Users can open and operate the chat widget without relying on a mouse, and interactions occur within a clearly structured text interface that supports assistive technologies. Because the chat automatically logs conversation history, users can scroll or copy text as needed for clarity, improving usability for people with cognitive or visual impairments.

The chat widget also uses clear visual indicators for incoming messages, agent availability, and typing states, helping users who rely on visual or auditory cues. Since the chat operates in real time, users with slower interaction speeds can continue the conversation at their own pace without losing context. Although Savant Labs has not released a WCAG conformance statement or VPAT, the design principles of its web chat platform support accessibility through simplicity, browser compatibility, and predictable interaction patterns. Organisations requiring formal accessibility guarantees may request additional confirmation directly from Savant Labs.
Web chat accessibility testing
The chat system relies on a mainstream browser-based interface (Intercom-style), which generally undergoes accessibility testing by the underlying platform provider rather than Savant directly.

Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
Bulien helps users get started through a combination of guided onboarding, in platform assistance, documentation, and responsive support. New users typically begin with an onboarding walk through that introduces the core features of the platform, including how to build workflows, connect data sources, and use the visual tools for transforming and analysing data. The interface is designed to be intuitive, allowing users to experiment quickly without extensive setup or configuration.

A comprehensive Help Centre provides articles, tutorials, FAQs, and step by step guides that explain key concepts and common tasks. These resources allow users to learn at their own pace while exploring real examples. Savant also offers a community forum where users can share best practices, ask questions, and learn from others’ experiences.

Users can reach out to Bulien's certified Savant experts or by receiving guidance from the Savant Labs support team, typically within one business day. This is especially helpful for early technical questions or setting up integrations.

During onboarding, Bulien encourages users to start with simple workflows using common connectors and gradually build more complex automations. The platform’s low-code environment enables users including those without programming experience to ramp up quickly and gain confidence through hands-on exploration.

End-of-contract data extraction
Savant Labs enables users to extract their data using the platform’s standard data access and integration features during the contract term. Savant is designed to work directly with customer owned data sources rather than acting as a long term system of record. As a result, most data remains in, or is written back to, customer-controlled systems such as cloud data warehouses, databases, or external applications.

Users can export datasets and analytical outputs directly from the Savant interface using built in export options, for example downloading results in common formats such as CSV. In addition, Savant workflows can be configured to automatically write processed data and insights back to external systems as part of normal operations. Where required, users may also use Savant’s Generic API tool to send data to third-party services or storage locations.

Savant’s official documentation does not describe a dedicated post-termination extraction process. Customers are expected to retrieve any required data using these standard features prior to contract end.
End-of-contract process
At the end of a Savant Labs contract, user access to the platform and its features typically ends when the subscription term expires, unless renewed. Before this date, customers are responsible for exporting any data, workflow outputs, or configurations they wish to retain, as Savant does not automatically preserve access once a contract lapses. Users can download datasets directly, export workflow results, or write data back to their own cloud storage or databases to ensure continuity outside the platform.

When the contract ends, user accounts are deactivated and the organisation’s workspace becomes inaccessible. Any data remaining in the system is subject to Savant’s data retention and deletion processes, meaning it will be removed after a defined period or upon request, ensuring no customer information is stored longer than necessary. Customers should therefore plan ahead to extract data and document workflows before the subscription concludes.

Support access also ends, as well as access to the Help Center’s customer-only materials. If additional offboarding guidance is needed, Savant may provide it through customer success or support teams prior to expiration. For organisations with specific compliance or data governance requirements, contractual terms may outline customised data handling or deletion procedures.
Documentation accessibility standard
None or don’t know
How the documentation is accessible
Savant Labs provides onboarding and offboarding documentation through its web based platform and online Help Centre, which are accessed via a standard web browser. Because the documentation is delivered as HTML content within the service, accessibility is inherently dependent on the capabilities of the user’s browser and operating system, including built in assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, zoom, and contrast controls.

Description of accessibility
Savant Labs’ service is delivered through a modern, browser-based interface designed to be accessible to a wide range of users. It works with mainstream browsers that support built in accessibility features such as screen readers, zoom, keyboard navigation, and high contrast modes. The interface uses clear visual structure, consistent navigation patterns, and simple interaction flows that support users with cognitive or visual impairments. Because the platform runs entirely in the browser, users can rely on their operating system’s native accessibility tools without requiring additional software. Savant also provides written documentation and support resources to help users navigate the platform effectively.
Accessibility testing
The platform’s accessibility characteristics come from its use of standard browser technologies rather than from documented user testing.
API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
Savant Labs provides an API driven integration capability designed to connect Savant workflows with external systems and data sources. Using Savant’s Generic API tool, users can issue REST requests (such as GET and POST), configure headers and authentication, pass parameters, manage pagination, and ingest API responses directly into analytics workflows. This enables automation of data ingestion, enrichment, and interaction with third-party services within Savant’s no code environment.

The API functionality is integration focused rather than administrative. Savant does not document APIs for managing users, provisioning environments, changing system wide settings, or modifying underlying infrastructure. Platform administration and configuration are performed through the Savant user interface. API usage is governed by the same permissions and access controls as the UI, and cannot be used to bypass platform security or tenant restrictions.

Data importing and exporting

Data export approach
Users can export their data from Savant in several straightforward ways. They can download datasets and workflow outputs directly from the platform in common open formats such as CSV or JSON. Workflows that connect to external systems like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or cloud storage allow users to write data back to their own environments at any stage. Data retrieved through APIs can be exported or delivered to external destinations using workflow steps. Many users configure workflows to automatically save results to their preferred storage locations, ensuring ongoing access. These methods let users extract all necessary data before their contract ends.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Savant Labs designs and operates its service with availability as a core operational objective, supported by formally documented controls that are independently assessed under the SOC 2 Type II Availability Trust Services Criteria. Savant maintains monitoring, alerting, incident response, backup, and recovery processes intended to minimise service disruption and support timely restoration in the event of incidents.
Approach to resilience
Savant Labs is designed to be resilient by leveraging a cloud native, distributed architecture that ensures reliability, scalability, and continuity during normal operations and unexpected events. The platform runs on modern cloud infrastructure that provides built-in redundancy across compute, storage, and networking layers, allowing services to continue operating even if individual components fail. Workflows execute in isolated, containerised environments, preventing one workload from affecting others and enabling rapid recovery if a process encounters an error.

Automatic scaling adjusts compute resources dynamically based on demand, ensuring consistent performance during peak usage. Continuous health monitoring identifies issues early, while automated restarts and failover mechanisms maintain service stability. Data stored within the platform is kept in resilient, encrypted cloud storage with multiple replicas to protect against loss or corruption. Regular backups and standard cloud provider durability guarantees further strengthen data protection.

For organisations requiring higher levels of resilience, Savant can support enhanced deployment configurations or regional controls through enterprise arrangements. Overall, the platform’s architecture and operational practices ensure that workloads remain isolated, resources scale appropriately, and the system can recover quickly from failures, providing a robust and dependable environment for analytics automation.
Outage reporting
Savant does not publish a public status dashboard that shows real time service availability, nor does it provide an API for querying service status or outage information. Instead, outage reporting is handled through direct notifications and support communications.

When a service disruption or performance issue occurs, Savant communicates with affected customers using email notifications and support interactions, providing information about the nature of the issue, its impact, and progress toward resolution. Customers may also receive updates through ongoing support conversations if they have raised a related issue.

This approach allows Savant to tailor communications based on the scope and severity of an incident, ensuring that relevant customers receive appropriate and timely information. Details about internal monitoring, escalation, and incident handling processes are managed by Savant and can be shared with customers on request, rather than being exposed through a public dashboard.

Supplier-defined controls
Configuration and change management approach
Savant Labs uses formal configuration and change management processes to control service changes. Application components are tracked through their lifecycle using version control and controlled deployment pipelines, providing traceability from development to production. All changes are reviewed and approved before release. As part of change assessment, potential security impacts are evaluated through code review, dependency management, and vulnerability scanning, ensuring that security risks are identified and addressed prior to deployment.
Vulnerability management type
Supplier-defined controls
Vulnerability management approach
Savant Labs follows a structured vulnerability management process designed to identify, assess, and remediate security risks across its platform. The service undergoes continuous automated vulnerability scanning of its application code, dependencies, and cloud infrastructure. Savant also commissions regular third party penetration tests to uncover exploitable weaknesses. Identified vulnerabilities are prioritised using a risk-based approach, with high-severity issues addressed promptly and lower-severity items incorporated into planned development cycles. Security patches and updates are deployed through a controlled change-management process. Vulnerability monitoring is integrated into the development lifecycle, ensuring issues are detected early and resolved before reaching production.
Protective monitoring type
Supplier-defined controls
Protective monitoring approach
Savant Labs uses protective monitoring processes designed to detect unusual behaviour and maintain the security of its platform. Centralised logging records system, application, and access events, providing an audit trail for investigation. Continuous monitoring tools track authentication activity, workflow execution, and infrastructure performance, with automated alerts triggered when anomalies or suspicious patterns appear. Privileged actions are monitored closely to identify unauthorised access. Threat intelligence updates help refine detection rules and prioritise alerts. When an issue is detected, incidents are escalated to engineering or security staff following defined procedures. These processes ensure ongoing visibility and rapid response to potential security threats.
Incident management type
Supplier-defined controls
Incident management approach
Savant Labs follows a structured incident management process designed to detect, assess, and resolve security or service issues quickly. Incidents are identified through continuous monitoring, automated alerts, and user reports, then triaged based on severity and impact. Engineering and security teams are assigned according to the nature of the incident and work to contain, investigate, and remediate the issue. Communication is provided to affected users through support channels when service availability or data may be impacted. After resolution, a post incident review captures lessons learned, improves detection rules, and strengthens preventative controls to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
