The FME Platform typically does not store data, it is used to power the data pipeline ETL process. The FME Workspaces which contain the data pipeline business logic and function can be exported from FME Flow in bulk either via the GUI or by API. These Workspaces can be retained and used in current and newer versions of FME Form and Flow. In FME Flow if any data is retained within the underlying PostgreSQL database or in the file storage, the PostgresSQL database can be backed up in binary or plain SQL format as well as exported into any one of the over 450+ formats FME supports. Any files can be bulk downloaded from FME Flow.
Under a perpetual license agreement, users can continue to use FME Form and Flow, they will however not receive software updates or security patches. - End-of-contract process

Prior to the end of a subscription or perpetual license contract, Tensing will offer a review session with the client to ensure the full implications on datasets and processes are understood and an action plan is implemented.
For a subscription contract FME Flow will remain accessible through the browser based GUI but will be unable to run any jobs. FME Form will raise a license expired message and close.
Under a perpetual license, FME Form and Flow will continue to function, however, new updated versions of FME will be unavailable for use and in most cases, security updates will be unavailable.

Avineon Tensing provides a flexible Service Level Agreement (SLA) tailored to various technical support needs and FME deployment. The SLA is typically classified by severity from P1 to P4. P1 issues, the most severe, include a 30-minute response and a 4-hour resolution time, addressing critical impacts such as data loss or halted production. P2 issues, involving partial service loss without data corruption, have a response time of 60 minutes and resolution within 8 hours. P3 concerns, indicating potential functional failures with minimal immediate impact, have response and resolution times of 120 minutes and 80 hours, respectively. P4 issues, mainly requiring operational assistance or advice, have the longest response and resolution times at 240 minutes and 80 hours.
Special considerations can sometimes be given to direct FME-related software issues due to Safe Software support being located in Canada and impacted by working times. Tensing may adjust priorities and resolution times based on specific case details or available workarounds, maintaining transparent communication throughout the process. Feature requests are handled separately, without standard resolution timelines, facilitating customer discussions on enhancements and forwarding suggestions to vendors without assurance of implementation.

FME Flow is hosted on the clients datacentre, there is complete flexibility when it comes to the level of resilience required for the system. One advantage of FME Flow is that it offers a highly available service with resilience through spreading the infrastructure across multiple machines. FME Flow can be deployed as part of a CI\CD pipeline and run inside a containerised environment using Kubernetes.
