Palo Alto Networks is a world leader in their cloud software and services market. Palo Alto Networks own and control configuration and change management of their cloud software and services. Security is integrated into Palo Alto Networks software and services development lifecycle.
Conscia UK plays a part in this process, conducting our own due diligence relating to early release developments and providing feedback into Palo Alto Networks. This is conducted under Conscia UK’s Portfolio Management process which examines products and service developments. Clients taking enhanced support services from Conscia benefit from our insight and knowledge gained from this activity. - Vulnerability management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Vulnerability management approach
-
Conscia UK operates a Security Operations Centre (SOC) to monitor clients.
Our SOC detects threats across multiple tools and can isolate endpoints when serious issues arise as needed.
We run proactive problem management: engineers review incidents and investigate repeats to find root causes. We triage critical vulnerabilities within 4 hours, high within 8, and medium/low during weekly maintenance windows.
Threat intelligence sources include vendor PSIRT advisories, CVSS scoring data, and Cisco Talos.
We commission certified penetration tests on our infrastructure and advise annual independent external testing of client networks. This complements ISO 27001, ISO 14001, and Cyber Essentials Plus certification. - Protective monitoring type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Protective monitoring approach
- We combine our in-house 24/7 monitoring & detection tools with direct advanced detection tools within the vendor platforms and solutions we provide, e.g. Secure Endpoint, Secure Network Analytics and Secure Access that continually monitor, alarm and alert vulnerabilities & anomalies detected across monitored environments. We run regular security posture reviews and configuration audits ensuring client alignment to best practice deployment and with the latest patches. We escalate potential compromises via runbooks, contain threats, investigate scope, remediate with clients, and update playbooks to prevent recurrence. SLAs vary dependant on the service purchased; standard reactive support response SLA’s start from 30 minutes.
- Incident management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Incident management approach
- Our Technical Services Centre operates 24x7x365 with ITIL v3/4-based incident management procedures, validated by Vendor accreditation audits. Incidents are logged, categorised by severity, prioritised, and assigned to skilled engineers, with defined escalation paths and service level targets ensuring swift resolution. Comprehensive runbooks and documented procedures for outages, security events, and performance issues significantly reduce resolution times. Incident reports, accessible via a web portal, provide real-time updates, detailed resolution information, and historical records for audit and compliance purposes. This ensures consistent and rapid response to incidents while maintaining transparency and accountability.
