Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
- Valos guarantees 99.5% platform availability, measured monthly.
- Approach to resilience
-
Valos is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a resilient architecture designed for high availability and data protection.
Production data is stored in a Google-operated cloud database with multiple levels of redundancy both within and across data centres, designed for 99.999999999% (11 9's) annual durability. Data is automatically and continuously replicated across three physically separate data centres, all located in the UK.
In addition to native cloud redundancy, we perform additional backups to prevent data loss from user error and operational risks. All backups are regularly tested at least annually and encrypted using appropriate cryptographic standards.
Our serverless architecture automatically scales resources based on demand, eliminating single points of failure. The platform includes continuous monitoring and automated alerting for service anomalies.
Our backup infrastructure operates under a documented Backup Policy as part of our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan.
GCP datacentres maintain ISO 27001, SOC 2, and SOC 3 certifications with comprehensive physical security controls. - Outage reporting
