- End-of-contract data extraction
-
When a LastPass contract ends, users can export their vault data before access is terminated.
Typically, users can:
Export passwords, secure notes, and form fill data from the admin or user vault
Download data in CSV format for migration to another password manager
Retain exports locally to meet business continuity and audit requirements
Data extraction must be completed prior to contract expiry, as vault access is removed once the subscription ends. For managed environments, LastPass administrators can coordinate exports centrally during offboarding. - End-of-contract process
- At the end of a LastPass contract, the subscription is deactivated and access to paid features is removed. Users and administrators retain access only until the contract expiry date, during which time vault data should be exported. After termination, organisational access is disabled, shared folders are removed, and administrative controls are withdrawn. Data is retained for a limited period in line with LastPass retention policies, after which it may be securely deleted, so customers are expected to complete offboarding and data extraction before expiry.
