Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
Deployment of Microsoft Sentinel requires an active Azure subscription and an Azure Log Analytics workspace. Ingentive assists with initial setup, connector configuration, data ingestion and rule tuning. Access to Sentinel is granted through Azure role-based access control and managed by the customer’s Azure administrator.

End-of-contract data extraction
At contract end, organisations can export logs, alerts and analytics data stored in their Log Analytics workspace. Data extraction can be performed using Azure Portal export tools, Kusto queries or API-based methods. Ingentive can provide guidance or assisted extraction as a professional service.
End-of-contract process
Subscription management is handled through the Azure portal. Decommissioning Sentinel stops further data ingestion while existing data remains available for the configured retention period. After this period, data is automatically deleted in line with Azure policies. Ingentive can support transition, handover and exit activities on request.
