Fighting climate change
Halochrome has a corporate internal policy minimising UK road use of internal combustion engines (ICE) in favour of electric vehicles (EVs) or rail where possible. Team travel and subsistence costs are minimised where practicable and all UK movement evaluation requires an option for public rail transport to be considered for routine moves if feasible. Whilst sub threshold to qualify for GHG emissions and TCFD disclosure requirements, Halochrome infrastructure is remote, dual use and energy efficient, with a measured annual carbon emission total of 22.8 tonnes/carbon/pa. Halochrome’s charitable support includes commitments to international conservation and awareness through the Royal Geographic Society and humanitarian disaster relief through the charity RE:ACT.Wellbeing
Halochrome’s Wellbeing policy extends to include the supplier network for our sub-contractors and our consortium partners. We share a similar high trust and high integrity professional ethos with our close partners. Reporting metrics for all our supplier network use the 6 Mental Health at Work Commitment standards as a common-to-all baseline.
