How the planning service works
As 2i began life as a testing company, in 2005, we collectively have many years experience of planning the testing of implementations and migrations, latterly to Cloud services. From this experience we are able to apply lessons learnt and a proven methodology to avoid some of the pitfalls that can happen in the planning phase of a large Cloud-based project. We can use estimating techniques and detailed reviews to ensure that the correct focus has been applied, based on the individual customers target outcome. We can take full ownership of the testing plan, on behalf of the client, and report back through our robust tracking and reporting process; or act in a consultative manner to assure or improve plans which already exist, depending upon where in the process we are engaged. Our end aim is to always manage to a plan that all involved parties are bought into, meaning that we communicate widely and frequently and ensure we deliver with a policy of 'no surprises', enabling corrective actions to be taken at the earliest possible opportunity to mitigate risk. We particularly focus on complex integrations and the added complexity needing to be considered in those scenarios.

Our UK based resources are experts in both Agile and Waterfall deliveries, ensuring that testing is given high-profile consideration from the very outset and is appropriately planned into the delivery lifecycle. Our Test Consultants have extensive experience of defining Test Strategies; We are able to quickly provide a test team to manage the end-to-end test function and scale-up with test experts, covering all role profiles. Our focus is to define and manage a robust test service, but also to work in partnership with our client, to ensure that the knowledge transfer is factored in to achieve a greater understanding of the products and services being implemented.

Our test resources / management will usually be available on-site. In addition we will provide email support / escalation paths during our engagement window for testing. We will respond within 3 working days maximum, however this will be quicker during planned test windows. Our UK based teams will usually work on customer sites and provide on site support as standard.
