- How the planning service works
- Channel 3 have a mature and consistent approach to the planning of this service. The project management discipline ensures that timescales, costs, risks, personnel and physical resource requirements are all identified and agreed before the project is initiated. This entails a very close working relationship with both administrative and clinical staff from the client organisation. The outcomes of the workshops is reflected in a rigorously documented set of the current or “As Is “Business processes. A well tried and tested set of workshops will deliver a consensus driven set of desired “To Be” processes which are also fully documented. These are then reflected in the set up and configuration of the host system. Note is taken of any required ancillary systems that directly interface with the clinical system; examples of this would be: order comms, clinical decision tools and pathology. These are incorporated into the overall design. A full set of training packages and personnel are provided in order that the end users gain a full working and operational knowledge of the final system. This includes training and reference material. The overall training package is agreed with the customer and reflects the day-to-day working constraints of the recipients.
