Planning
- Planning service
- Yes
- How the planning service works
- We provide a tailored planning solution throughout the project/programme lifecycle. Our approach is fully customisable but would include aligning the customer vision and strategy to organisational objectives. We will identify and assess the key inputs to the project/programme design; including existing and emerging policies, constraints, and opportunities; considering your organisational maturity and readiness. We will also inform our planning activities by using existing insight and intelligence to assess and validate potential benefits, investments, and resourcing implications, developing a roadmap which identifies the sequencing and interdependencies of the project/programme. We will help with setting up appropriate governance structures and engage with your team to deliver the outcomes of the programme. During the planning process we can draw on our specialist expertise in strategy development, programme and project management, organisational change, communications, human resources, procurement, finance, service design and technology.

Fighting climate change
Ignite Consulting is committed to working towards carbon neutrality. In all our contracts, we seek to maximise opportunities to deliver environment benefits on our contracts and minimising our impact on the environment whilst we carry out our work.
We achieve this through a number of practical steps:
Transportation:
- Through our travel policy we ask staff to make sensible travel choices and encourage use of public transport as much as possible.
- We are part of the Bike2Work scheme and our YuLife and Vitality programmes will help to incentivise staff to use more sustainable travel choices such as cycling and walking for their daily commutes where possible.
- Our staff are trained in a wide range of tools and techniques to support effective virtual working to avoid unnecessary travel.
- As our team members are based around the country, we now use 'Hubble' office space for team meetings - as they are located in many parts of the country, we are able to find space that reduces the amount of travel for everyone.
Heat and building emissions:
- We take energy consumption and efficiency of new products into account when purchasing them.
- We encourage staff to switch off lights and electrical equipment when not in use, wherever they are working from.
Resources and waste:
- We are paperless where possible.
- We seek to buy recycled and recycle products when necessary and possible.
- We donate mobile telephones and any excess equipment to schools and community organisations so that it is reused rather than recycled.Tackling economic inequality

We champion local initiatives addressing skills gaps, particularly for those facing barriers to employment. We collaborate with local educational institutions and training providers to develop and implement innovative solutions like training programmes and mentoring schemes to address skills gaps and nurture talent.
Our procurement strategy focuses on diversifying the supply chain, providing opportunities to SMEs. This creates pathways for economic participation and growth in underserved communities. Our supplier base is predominantly SMEs and UK-based enterprises. We ensure social value impact through collaboration with our suppliers, working with them to ensure they play their part in fighting economic equality. In contract delivery, we prioritise transparency and collaboration, breaking down silos to deliver optimal solutions. Upholding a strengths-based culture, we foster a unified team ethos across suppliers and partners.
We ensure compliance and proficiency in Cyber Security. All staff are trained annually in cyber security, we conduct quarterly audits of our IT estate and through use of industry leading Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) software backed by a human led 24-hour Security Operation Centre to monitor threats and respond when necessary. All companies within our supply chain are required to provide proof of Cyber Essentials compliance via a valid certificate.Equal opportunity
