Our strategic purpose is aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and more locally with the Zero Carbon 2040 agenda under Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. MGISS also work directly with conservation and environmental groups who are both customers and project partners such as our work with Wildlife Trusts and the Peatland Restoration projects.

We supply hardware, training, consultancy, and pre-packaged COTS solutions to large infrastructure, asset location & capture, restoration, and loss prevention projects throughout the UK. We're a growing company working with local partners across the Liverpool City Region to boost employment and outcomes for those affected by Covid-19 through new employment opportunities and promotion of both sector specific and community opportunities.
Tackling economic inequality

Tackling economic inequality

MGISS are committed to closing all inequality gaps and have specific policies in place to support many forms of inequality. Our documents and validated policies are reviewed every 12 months in light of change to policy of regulation. To tackle economic inequality specifically we offer multiple employment pathways including apprenticeships and paid internships. We are fully inclusive in our recruitment and employment by opening opportunities to everyone irrespective of background, ethnicity, disability, fender, faith, and experience.

We are committed to the Real Living Wage plus a minimum of 10% across all roles in the business from our apprentices upwards. We're committed to personal development with training and development plans for all staff and roles across the company. We aim to up-skill and progress as many of our staff as possible with the aim of building long-term employment for all our team members.

MGISS support local supply chains (SME) which account for 30% of our operational expenditure. We have a robust set of supplier policies which ensure all our partners are committed to our own vision for sustainability and we ensure their business processes match our strict requirements around data & information security, wellbeing, equality, quality, and sustainability.

This also extends to our local communities and the local economy, and has a focus on minimising damage to the environment. Our solutions support societal change and improvements to services particularly for vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.

We proactively support apprenticeships and currently sponsor opportunities in our workforce with a commitment to increasing this as we grow. We have female representation on the board of directors and actively reap the benefits of diversity in age, race, ability and gender even within a small team. This has been a strategic aim of the business from the start, in order to develop a diverse, sustainable and inclusive culture for the future to recruit and retain diverse talent and experience. As a digital-first organisation, we actively reduce waste and commit to reducing all non-essential business travel and we extend a flexible work from home policy to all staff.
