Our documentation is created in line with UK Government open standards for viewing documents. All files are saved in PDF/A format to ensure long-term accessibility and compatibility. They are fully searchable, with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) applied to any scanned content. Each document includes tagged headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables to support screen readers and maintain a logical reading order. Images contain alternative text, and metadata such as title, author, and language are correctly set. We use high-contrast colours and clear fonts for readability. An HTML version of the content is available as an open format alternative for users who prefer or require it. These measures ensure our documentation is accessible to all users, including those using assistive technologies.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Dox42 Online is delivered as a SaaS solution hosted on Microsoft Azure, leveraging its globally distributed, load-balanced infrastructure for high performance and reliability. While dox42 does not publish a specific uptime SLA on its public site, availability is underpinned by Azure’s service-level agreements for infrastructure. For application-level guarantees, organisations typically define commitments through custom support contracts with dox42 or its partners. This approach ensures scalability and resilience, but any formal guarantee of availability should be confirmed as part of contractual arrangements.
Approach to resilience
Dox42’s approach to resilience centres on a cloud‑native, Azure‑hosted architecture with load‑balanced services designed for high performance and horizontal scalability, enabling continuous document generation even under peak demand.
Outage reporting
Dox42 does not provide a public status page for real-time outage notifications. Service availability is monitored internally through Azure’s infrastructure, as dox42 Online is hosted on Microsoft Azure with a load-balanced architecture. In the event of an outage or service disruption, users are informed through direct communication channels, typically via email or through their contracted support partner.
