Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
The Integrator Plus onboarding process is primarily handled in house by IHS. It includes the following broad milestones:

- Project launch meeting
- Provision of data by client
- Data analysis
- Resolution of data issues with client
- Test imports
- Final delivery date agreed with client
- Final import into Integrator Plus
- Additional system setup/configuration

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Integrator Plus is soley hosted on Microsoft Azure, which guarantees at least 99.5% uptime for the various services in use. Coupled with this, the system employs further configurations to provide application availability, including horizontal scaling for performance, as well as geographically-redundant failover for the application, storage and database, to a paired UK datacentre.
Approach to resilience
The entire application will failover to an identical instance in a paired UK region in the event that it is totally unavailable. This means that even in the event of datacentre failure, requests will automatically be diverted to the paired region, and application availability will be maintained.
Outage reporting
The system is continually internally monitored using Microsoft Azure tools. Customers are made aware of any important issues via email.

Security governance approach
Integrator Housing Solutions uses a combination of internal process, training and systematic controls to provide clear oversight and management of product, data and employee security. More information available on request.
Information security policies and processes
Staff follow internal processes designed to manage various security-impacting areas, including, but not limited to:

- Access to company systems
- Data encryption
- Data access
- GDPR and Data protection
- Source control
- Peer code review
- Vulnerability management
- Employee onboarding/offboarding

Some of these restrictions are systematically enforced via system configurations. Auditable systems are used to track task management, source control and deployment. Security approaches are reviewed regularly by senior management.

Operational security

Configuration and change management standard
Supplier-defined controls
Configuration and change management approach
All infrastructure and hosting services are managed through Microsoft Azure, which provides monitoring and pre-emptive information regarding upcoming supplier service changes.

Larger and higher-risk internal changes are subject to senior management approval, and are documented via a business case process.
Vulnerability management type
Supplier-defined controls
Vulnerability management approach
Security infrastructure leverages Microsoft Azure's Microsoft Defender for Cloud, which includes analysis, threat detection monitoring capabilities, as well as recommendations for best practice.

Where there are code vulnerabilities identified, normal bugfix and hotfix processes are in place, with updates deployed via a CI/CD solution. With an agile development approach, and automated workflows, required patching can be completed quickly and efficiently.
Protective monitoring type
Supplier-defined controls
Protective monitoring approach
Security infrastructure leverages Microsoft Azure's Microsoft Defender for Cloud, which includes analysis, threat detection monitoring capabilities, as well as recommendations for best practice.

Where severe incidents are identified, updates are delivered as soon as is practicable through an internal hotfix process, deployed via a CI/CD solution.
Incident management type
Supplier-defined controls
Incident management approach
Service infrastructure leverages Microsoft Azure's monitoring tools, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, which includes analysis, threat detection and monitoring capabilities. Where an incident is detected systematically, an internal process is followed to manage it.

Incidents discovered by users are reported via support channels and priority is determined. The normal SLA is followed, unless the incident has a wider impact, at which point the internal process is also followed.

The process includesthe following stages:

- Detection
- Triage
- Initial notification
- Mitigation
- Escalation
- Resolution
- Resolution notification
- Review and prevention

Fighting climate change

All IHS staff work remotely so the company has a low carbon footprint from not heating or cooling an office or commuting.

Where ever possible all our meetings, both internal and external, and our training sessions with customers are held via Microsoft Teams.

Our Founders were at the forefront of energy-saving design and assessment in the 1990s. With have over 30 years inhouse RdSAP experience, and our Director of Energy, one of the most qualified energy assessors in the country, can provide energy efficiency consultancy advice to our customers as they work towards the decarbonisation of their housing stock.

Our Integrator Plus Energy Toolkit enables housing providers to evaluate the possibilities for improving energy efficiency of their housing stock by showing what improvement measures are necessary to achieve specific energy efficiency targets and at what cost in line with the governments Net Zero targets. It also allows housing providers to evaluate their own proposed package of mesaures for specific energy efficiency improvements, and evaluate the impact of specific works programmes on a predictive scenario.

Our Notus Pocket Surveyor can be used by surveyors for on-site collection of energy efficiency data which improves the speed, accuracy and consisitancy of energy efficiency surveys.

Our Integrator Plus software is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which as part of the Microsoft group has been 100 percent carbon netural since 2012, and is committed to being carbon negative by 2030.

Covid-19 recovery

Our Integrator Plus Energy Toolkit is being used by retrofit co-ordinators, many of whom have re-trained in the retrofit industry & set up new companies following Covid-19. We have specifically developed the KPIs for retrofit programmes for them, as well as key output reports including EI, heat demand and carbon tonnage.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic organisations have had to embrace home and hybrid working. Our cloud-based solutions support all of these work styles with a true 'anywhere' approach to key system functionality.

Wellbeing

IHS actively promotes a mentally healthy workforce through a focus on work/life balance and our 'Mental Health & Wellbeing' and 'Menopause' policies. General wellbeing and mental health is important to us, and we integrate it in all we do from regular meetings with staff, to annual appraisals and strategic management.
