- Yes
- What users can and can't do using the API
-
ABBYY Vantage provides a REST-based API that allows users to integrate intelligent document processing into their own applications and workflows. Through the API, users can authenticate securely, submit documents for classification and extraction, retrieve extracted data and confidence scores, monitor processing status, and manage processing jobs. Users can also configure document processing flows, trigger skills, and route outputs to downstream systems via API calls.
Service setup through the API supports onboarding of document streams, job creation, and integration with external systems. Limited configuration changes, such as updating processing parameters or routing logic, can also be performed programmatically.
However, some activities cannot be fully completed via the API. Creation, training, and advanced configuration of document skills, user management, role administration, and environment-level settings must be carried out through the web interface. API usage is subject to licensing, authentication, rate limits, and supported endpoints defined by ABBYY. - API documentation

Adjusting extraction fields and rules for business workflows
Building custom skills without code for specialised documents
Integrating with external systems via API
Automating routing and exception handling logic
Certain deep system settings and user administration are managed through the web interface, with APIs supporting integration and operational control. Customisation is within licensing and supported capabilities.
Scaling
- Independence of resources
- ABBYY Vantage ensures independence of resources through its cloud-native, multi-tenant architecture, which isolates customer workloads and applies resource controls to prevent contention. Processing capacity is elastically scaled to handle peak demand, with workload prioritisation and throttling in place to protect performance. For customers with stricter requirements, private cloud or dedicated deployments can be used to fully isolate resources and eliminate cross-tenant impact.

- Data within our network is protected using layered security controls. Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard encryption. Access is restricted through role-based access controls and strong authentication. Network segmentation, firewalls, and monitoring are used to limit and detect unauthorised access. Regular patching, vulnerability management, and security logging are applied to maintain a secure operating environment.
Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
-
ABBYY Vantage is delivered as a cloud-native service designed for high availability and resilience providing 99.5% uptime. The platform is hosted on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure and uses redundant components, automated monitoring, and fault-tolerant architecture to minimise service disruption. Core services are deployed across multiple availability zones to reduce the impact of infrastructure failures.
ABBYY performs regular maintenance and applies updates in a controlled manner to maintain service stability. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance where possible. Service availability targets and uptime commitments are defined within ABBYY’s standard service terms and customer agreements. For organisations with higher resilience requirements, ABBYY Vantage can be deployed in a private cloud or dedicated environment to provide additional isolation and control over availability. - Approach to resilience
-
ABBYY Vantage uses a cloud-native, resilient architecture designed to maintain service continuity under varying loads and failure conditions. The platform runs on enterprise cloud infrastructure with built-in redundancy, ensuring no single point of failure for core services. Workloads are automatically distributed and scaled to handle demand fluctuations without impacting performance.
Continuous monitoring and health checks detect issues early and trigger automated recovery processes. Data is protected through regular backups and secure storage, supporting recovery in the event of an incident. Planned updates and maintenance are managed to minimise disruption, with advance notice provided where possible. For organisations with enhanced resilience or isolation requirements, ABBYY Vantage supports private cloud and dedicated deployments, allowing customers greater control over availability and recovery strategies. - Outage reporting

- Other user authentication
-
For ABBYY Vantage, user authentication depends on deployment model and customer configuration.
ABBYY Vantage supports identity federation (SSO) using SAML 2.0 / OpenID Connect with existing providers such as Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta or Google Workspace. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is supported and enforced via the integrated identity provider. Username and password authentication is available for local accounts where federation is not enabled.
Access can be restricted via VPN or private networking in customer-hosted deployments. Public key (TLS client certificate) authentication and PSN-only access are not typical for end-user access but may be supported through customer network controls. - Access restrictions in management interfaces and support channels
-
Access to management interfaces and support channels is strictly controlled using role-based access control (RBAC) and the principle of least privilege. Administrative access is limited to authorised personnel and protected through single sign-on (SSO) with multi-factor authentication (MFA) where supported.
Management interfaces are secured using network controls such as IP allow-listing, VPN or private network access in customer-hosted environments. Support channels are restricted to named contacts, with identity verified before access to systems or data is granted. All administrative and support activities are logged and subject to regular review and audit to ensure compliance with security policies - Access restriction testing frequency

Information Security Policies and Processes
Inpute operates a comprehensive information security framework aligned to recognised best practice and ISO/IEC 27001 principles, designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
Our policies include an overarching Information Security Policy, supported by Data Protection and Privacy (GDPR), Access Control, Acceptable Use, Incident Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Secure Development, and Third-Party/Supplier Security policies. These are underpinned by documented procedures covering risk assessment, vulnerability management, incident response, audit, and continual improvement.
Reporting Structure and Governance
Information security governance is embedded at senior management level. Day-to-day responsibility sits with the Information Security & Compliance Lead (Yash Purohit), who oversees policy management, compliance monitoring, risk management, and incident coordination. Yash reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), who provides executive oversight of operational risk and compliance. Ultimate accountability for information security rests with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Ensuring Compliance
Policies are enforced through mandatory staff training, role-based access controls and least-privilege principles, regular risk assessments and internal audits, and formal incident reporting and escalation processes. Policy compliance and security posture are reviewed regularly, with findings and actions reported through the COO to the CEO to ensure continuous improvement. - Software Security Code of Practice

ABBYY DevOps have access to the Service Status Monitor dashboard, which shows the current status of the service. Any issues raised through this monitoring are investigated and remediated based on the existing SLA. The ABBYY Status Page keeps our customers informed and provides real-time insights into Vantage Cloud status. It alerts our customers whenever a planned maintenance, critical service disruption or outage occurs. The real-time notifications and updates are sent to the subscribers until the issue is resolved
- Incident management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Incident management approach
- Incident response procedures are defined in the ABBYY Information Security Incident Response Plan. We have a set of playbooks to react to specific types of incidents. Incident response teams work every day on potential incidents according to this plan and playbooks. These are constantly improved after lessons learned, annually or in case of significant changes in the environment. Notifications to clients will be via general media, through our company web-site and email. The Security Incident Response Team responds to alerts during the workday, but in the case of a high-risk event, response will be immediate and at any time.
