- City consulting will plan this workstream using a dedicated and experience programme manager who has steered numerous enterprise cloud migration programmes. Our methodology will analyse the customer estate and bring together a plan and application tranch / phase approach. We will identify any client apps which may be problematic and recommend or design suitable workarounds or replacement solutions to enable the cloud migration to complete sucessfully. We will conduct a full infrastructure audit and gather all technical information, pre-requisites and depenancies including core plaforms such as SQL, DHCP, DNS, Networking, Storage, Identity and Access Management and Backups. City Consulting will work with the local IT teams to produce details application migration packs (AMP's) and cut-over run books to feed into the TDA and CAB processes. We will migrate cloud services into a new landing zone or existing landing zone and adhere to industry and sector specific environments such as NHS Digital or Police Digital Service blueprints.

Following on from the planning and design stages of this service, City Consulting with prepare for cloud migration by either delivering or validating a cloud landing zone for the customer which is compliant to NCSC or industry/sector specific guidance. From there, we set up migration tools, agree the migration approach principles, ensure a clear tranched application and server list is communicated and plan them migration in detail including details application migration packs, runbooks, rollback and cutover planning, and communication plans for the wider organisation.

Support for services during the migration is provided by City Consulting and the buyers existing support process and vendor contracts depending on where and what is causing the service issue.
During the project planning a return to "business as usual" state is factored in to return services to their normal support operating model.
