Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Contractual SLAs are negotiable for Enterprise licenses.
Approach to resilience
Emergn designs its services with resilience built in at both technical and operational levels. Services are hosted on enterprise-grade cloud platforms with built-in redundancy across availability zones and resilient network and storage architectures. Datacentre resilience is provided by the cloud service provider and includes redundant power, cooling, and connectivity. Detailed infrastructure design information is available on request.
Operational resilience is supported through monitoring, incident management, and defined escalation procedures to ensure rapid response to service issues. Regular backups are performed and tested, and business continuity and disaster recovery plans are maintained and reviewed to support timely service restoration.
Resilience controls are reviewed as part of risk management, change management, and periodic testing to ensure services continue to meet availability and recovery objectives.
Outage reporting
Emergn reports service outages through defined operational and customer communication processes. Service availability is continuously monitored, and outages or service degradation are logged and managed through the ServiceDesk and incident management process.
There is no public status dashboard or external API for outage reporting. Customers are notified directly via email and through their designated Delivery Manager in line with contractual SLAs. For major incidents, customers receive timely updates during the incident and a post-incident summary once service is restored.
Internal stakeholders are informed through incident escalation procedures, ensuring coordinated response and clear communication throughout the outage lifecycle.

Security governance standards

Information security policies and processes
Emergn operates an Information Security Management System aligned with ISO/IEC 27001. The ISMS is supported by a set of formal policies and procedures covering areas such as information security governance, risk management, access control, incident management, vulnerability and patch management, change and configuration management, business continuity, data protection, and supplier security.
Information Security is led by the Head of Information Security, who reports into senior management and oversees policy implementation and compliance. Key risks, incidents, and compliance status are reviewed through regular management and ISMF reviews.
Policy compliance is enforced through mandatory training, technical controls, monitoring, and internal audits. Policies are reviewed at least annually, approved by management, and communicated to employees and relevant third parties. Non-compliance is investigated and addressed through corrective actions.

Configuration and change management standard
Supplier-defined controls
Configuration and change management approach
Emergn operates a formal configuration and change management process aligned with ISO/IEC 27001. Service components, including infrastructure, applications, and configuration items, are recorded in central asset and configuration registers and tracked throughout their lifecycle, from deployment to retirement.
All changes are raised, documented, and approved through a controlled change process. Changes are assessed for security, availability, and business impact prior to implementation. Security-impacting changes require review by Information Security and are tested before release. Post-implementation reviews confirm successful deployment and identify any issues requiring remediation.
Vulnerability management type
Supplier-defined controls
Vulnerability management approach
Emergn follows vulnerability management process aligned with ISO27001. Threats are assessed through continuous review of vendor security advisories, vulnerability databases, security monitoring outputs, and SDLC. The SDLC includes security controls and reviews to ensure vulnerabilities are identified/mitigated during development and prior to production release.
Identified vulnerabilities are evaluated for severity, exploitability, and business impact to determine remediation priority. Patches are deployed following defined timelines. Critical and high-risk vulnerabilities are remediated 14 days or sooner, with emergency patching and compensating controls applied for zero-day threats.
Threat intelligence is sourced from vendors, national CERT advisories, vulnerability databases, and security community alerts.
Protective monitoring type
Supplier-defined controls
Protective monitoring approach
Complies with a recognised standard. Emergn’s protective monitoring and incident management processes are aligned with recognised international standards, including ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27035 for incident management. Monitoring, detection, response, escalation, and continual improvement are formally defined, documented, and operated as part of the ISMS, rather than being ad-hoc or supplier-defined.
Incident management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example, CSA CCM v4.0 or ISO/IEC 27035:2011 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Incident management approach
Emergn operates a formal incident management process aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27035. Pre-defined procedures exist for common security and service incidents, including system outages, security events, and data protection incidents, supported by documented response playbooks.
Users report incidents via the ServiceDesk, dedicated incident email address, or 24×7 phone hotline. Incidents are logged, classified by severity, and handled by the Incident Response Team in line with defined response and escalation timelines.
Incident reports and updates are provided to customers and stakeholders in line with SLAs, with post-incident summaries and lessons learned shared where appropriate.
