Dorset Software is able to provide various levels of support to our clients. Team services provides various levels of technical support depending on the project requirements. Dorset Software provides an account manager to each of our clients to assist in determining which services are required and maintain the service for the duration of the relationship. Account managers are available Monday to Friday during standard working hours via email and phone. Technical support is available per client requirements and we can provide a technical liaison.

The company will comply with all relevant legislation and strive to exceed minimum performance standards in implementing all aspects of environmental improvement to which it is party. Dorset Software promotes the use of new technologies to reduce waste in communications.
Documents including marketing materials are provided in electronic format by e-mail and the use of the internet where possible.
Virtual meetings are encouraged by Dorset Software to avoid the necessity for travel. This includes telephone and video conferencing.
Dorset Software encourages the use of electronic communications as a means of providing support and maintenance to remote sites. This includes e-mail and remote log-on to communicate with remote systems. Dorset Software encourages the use of public transport by staff and provides details of trains for visiting clients. Staff are encouraged to cycle to work by the provision of cycle racks and suitable changing facilities. When a car is required for travel Dorset Software encourages the hire of small modern hire cars with low fuel consumption and low emissions as opposed to the use of personal cars.

Covid-19 recovery

Creation of jobs and skills - Dorset Software is an apprenticeship training employer provider, with around 50 software developer apprentices and increasing intakes. Our services enable the conception of new businesses by being flexible. Dorset Software is targeting increasing its headcount to 250 from 150 over next 2 years. By increasing our headcount, we are increasing supply chain resilience and capacity.

Employee wellbeing is important to Dorset Software. We offer various benefits to our employees for their wellbeing such as flexible working hours, cycle to work scheme, annual eye tests and free fruit for everyone. We don't believe in working long hours and operate a system of flexi-time. This means that everyone works core hours, but outside these is free to start and leave according to personal choice. Our core hours are shorter on a Friday, allowing an early start to the weekend. Additionally, employees can apply for a hybrid working arrangement after a period of time spent settling into the company. We have a generous and flexible holiday allowance of 25 days per annum, plus 8 bank holidays. We offer and facilitate social and charitable events for employees throughout the year.
