Spirit provides technical account manager, cloud support engineers and a range of other support staff to provide comprehensive support for all aspect of cloud services.

Spirit's normal support hours are Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.00. Extended hours are aailable to support specific customer requirements.

Normal support hours are set out in our rate cards. Extended hours support is normally available at no charge. Weekend, night and bank holiday support is available at additional cost accoding to customer requirements.

End-of-contract data extraction
Users can export their data in open, machine-readable formats (CSV, JSON, PDF/ODF) via the web interface or secure administrative tools at the end of the contract.
End-of-contract process
At the end of a contract, users can export all data stored within the platform in open, machine-readable formats such as CSV, JSON, or PDF/ODF, ensuring continuity, reporting, and compliance requirements are met. Once data export is complete, the user’s account and associated data are securely deactivated and deleted in accordance with our data retention and privacy policies.

Customers may also return any beespace sensors or other associated hardware for appropriate recycling or disposal in line with environmental and safety standards. Support is provided to assist with both data extraction and hardware return, ensuring a smooth and secure offboarding process.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
The HIVE platform is built on a highly available cloud-native architecture with redundant application services, automated failover, and continuous monitoring. In the event of a single application server failure, traffic is automatically rerouted and service is typically restored within 15 minutes. Database failures are handled through automatic high-availability replicas, with recovery typically completed in under one hour and no expected data loss.

For extremely rare, catastrophic regional outages, disaster recovery procedures allow service restoration within 12 hours, with a recovery point objective of less than one hour.
Approach to resilience
Our service is designed for resilience through redundancy, automated failover, continuous backups, and disaster recovery planning.

The HIVE platform runs on a cloud-native, highly available architecture with multiple application instances and automatic traffic failover to prevent single points of failure. Database resilience is provided through high-availability replicas, allowing automatic recovery in the event of a primary node failure.

Data protection is reinforced with continuous backups and point-in-time recovery, enabling rapid restoration in the event of data corruption or accidental deletion. For extreme scenarios, a disaster recovery process supports service restoration from backups within defined recovery time and recovery point objectives.

These combined measures ensure the service remains available, recoverable, and operational even during infrastructure or system failures.
