Cyber Essentials Plus - Information security policies and processes
-
Stribe maintains a set of documented information security policies and processes aligned with recognised best practice. These policies are reviewed and enforced as part of our ongoing security governance.
As part of our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, all employees receive training to understand their information security responsibilities, including the secure handling of customer and company data. Compliance with security policies is a requirement of employment.
Information security responsibilities are clearly defined, with oversight held by senior management. Security policies and controls are embedded into day-to-day operations, supported by access controls, secure development practices, and incident management processes. - Software Security Code of Practice
- Yes
Operational security
- Configuration and change management standard
- Supplier-defined controls
- Configuration and change management approach
-
Stribe follows a controlled configuration and change management process for all components of the service.
Service components and features are version-controlled and tracked throughout their lifecycle, from development through to release.
New features and changes are developed and tested in a separate staging environment prior to release. This allows for functional testing, security review, and validation before changes are introduced into the live service.
Where appropriate, features are configurable by authorised administrators, allowing organisations to manage which functionality is available within their environment. Changes to the live service are deployed in a controlled manner to minimise risk and disruption. - Vulnerability management type
- Undisclosed
- Vulnerability management approach
-
Stribe operates an ongoing vulnerability management process:
Potential vulnerabilities are identified through a combination of secure code reviews, automated testing, and continuous server and application logging.
Where a vulnerability or security issue is identified, fixes are prioritised based on risk and severity. Patches are deployed first to a staging environment for testing and validation before being put live. Security-related patches are deployed promptly to minimise exposure.
Information about potential threats is informed by internal monitoring and testing, as well as external sources such as software dependency updates, security advisories, and vulnerability disclosures relevant to the technologies used by the service. - Protective monitoring type
- Undisclosed
- Protective monitoring approach
- We employ extensive server monitoring software to help identify a potential breach/compromise. We will respond immediately following our documented incident management process, which contains details of the steps to be taken. Depending on the severity of a given incident, we have different response time SLAs internally.
- Incident management type
- Undisclosed
- Incident management approach
- Stribe uses a defined incident management process to identify, triage, resolve and communicate service issues. We maintain pre-defined procedures for common incidents such as service degradation/outages, third-party disruption and security events, including severity classification, escalation and post-incident review. Users can report incidents via our support email and/or in-app support. Reports are logged and tracked internally, acknowledged promptly, and prioritised based on impact. For significant incidents we provide updates during the event and a final incident report summarising impact, timeline, root cause, mitigations applied and preventive actions.
