- How the support service works
- Our service management team currently delivers ongoing support to buyers across all tiers of government by enhancing existing support capability. We are able to provide consultants across service operations to provide a full service management layer or compliment existing capability within individual service pillars where required. We are an Axelos Consulting Partner, certified to provide capability assessments across 34 ITIL aligned management practices as well as full maturity assessments. This experience is not limited to ITIL and can be used to assess and advise on best practice implementation of service management capability regardless of framework and is one example of how i3Works continue to support buyers during and post-implementation of their cloud hosting services. . Fighting climate change
i3Works is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2030 and has partnered with an independent assessor, Carbon Neutral Britain, to work towards offsetting our carbon footprint. In July 2021 i3Works began developing an Environmental Management System aligned to the requirements of ISO14001. The company’s carbon expenditure for the last year will be measured and our footprint for the year will be offset by our investment in carbon offsetting projects. Our offsetting projects are verified by at least one of the three largest and most regulated standards in the world and 10% of our total investment will be in UK based projects, creating new green spaces and promoting the transition from conventional fuels to renewable energy sources.
i3Works encourages its employees to act sustainably and we provide our staff with reusable water-bottles and coffee flasks to discourage the use of single-use plastic bottles and paper coffee cups. We are committed to donating instead of scrapping our old and/or obsolete IT equipment so it can be reused and recycled, as electronic waste is having a significant impact on the global environment and climate. In addition, i3Works has shifted to a paperless office format and we discourage the use of printing in favour of digital alternatives.
Although we have adopted and encourage remote working, using collaboration tools to cut down on non-essential business travel, we do understand that office and client visits are necessary not only for the benefit of the project but also for interaction and the well-being of our staff and colleagues. As such we promote the use of public transport and have an electric car lease and cycle to work scheme to help reduce the environmental impacts of these journeys. Lastly, we sponsor various charities and events that focus on the environment and conservation such as the Tree Council. - Tackling economic inequality

Tackling economic inequality
i3Works promotes the concept and the ethos of the ‘Living Wage’ and considers paying the living wage to staff and contractors to be a core part its of Corporate and Social Value policy and that this commitment has helped improve recruitment and relationships with our employees and clients. We actively promote the company’s Project Controls Academy and Fast Track Consultant scheme. These schemes provide in-depth and structured learning as well as practical experience to help train those employees new to project consultancy to give them the skills they need to be effective project controllers and project managers. These schemes are open to everyone, and we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply, they particularly appeal to recent graduates, those wishing for a career change and military veterans, helping them to obtain new skills, professionally recognised qualifications and relevant experience thereby making us a net contributor of new project delivery talent.
i3Works recognise and understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many people to re-evaluate their careers and work-life balance and resulted in difficulty and economic hardship across the country. We recognise, as part of the recovery process and wider development of the national workforce, that skill shortages, particularly in high-growth sectors such as project management, must be addressed and overcome. Therefore, whilst i3Works is headquartered in the South-West, we recruit people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences from across the UK and post job adverts on a wide variety of recruitment platforms. - Wellbeing

Wellbeing
i3Works provides its employees with a health package through Vitality, which includes private medical health cover, incentivised physical fitness programmes and professional Mental Health services such as counselling and guidance. i3Works enrol employees in Mental Health first aid courses and have several Mental Health First Aiders. We work to ensure an open, non-judgemental and supportive working environment where all are confident talking about mental and physical health issues and concerns.
In 2021 we also put in place a specific well-being benefit, giving each employee £80/month to spend on activities that improve their mental health and well-being (i.e. counselling, yoga, massage). We also have a ‘Health & Well Being at Work Policy’ and within the Sickness and Absence policy there are provisions for reasonable adjustments and leave for disabled employees.
