How the planning service works
Our Programme planning service typically consists of a short discovery phase in which we deploy a small team of domain and discipline experts to work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand, assess, and structure the delivery.

During this phase we use a range of tried and tested techniques from the Endava TEAS agile scaling framework to enhance our understanding of the business needs, assess backlog health, propose candidate solutions, assess risk & uncertainty levels, define mitigation strategies and create a draft roadmap/plan with agreed focus areas to remove uncertainty as soon as possible.

Deliverables:
1. Delivery Approach, Governance model and Communications plan, 2. Candidate solution & implementation strategies, 3. Refined 3-point estimation (best, likely, worst), 4. Team shape and structure, 5. Draft roadmap/plan, 6. Initial RAID log with appropriate mitigation strategies.

How the training service works
There are two focus areas when talking about training needs - Technical and Business Training. 1. Technical Training includes the technologies to be used and existing team members and their knowledge. When starting a project, we ensure the team leads and the project manager know the level of knowledge each team member has. For this, they need to identify the necessary technologies for the project and create a list. This list can be compared against the team members skill matrix. We will ensure adequate methodology training (e.g. agile) for our client. 2. Business Training In Agile, understanding the business is much more important due to the pace that things happen and of course the little documentation volume in comparison with other approaches. What is the team members experience in this industry? – this is also one of the question that helps assess the training needs at the beginning of the project and a training in this area will have a good impact in understanding client needs and making sure you are developing the right product.

On climate change We identify aspects of our business that impact the environment and comply with all relevant legislation and regulatory controls in each of our locations. We consume material goods in moderation, extend the lifecycle of our IT equipment, and thoughtfully manage and reduce waste. We also play our part in tackling broader environmental issues by supporting local community projects. Our Environmental Reporting Steering Committee is a management level body responsible for managing day-to-day activities related to Endava’s environmental performance and mitigating environment and climate-related risks. This committee meets on a monthly basis and discusses and signs off on processes, controls and strategy as well as on environmental reporting methodology. It is also responsible for providing regular updates to the Endava Board. The Committee includes senior management from across Endava, including the CFO, Group General Counsel and Head of ESG. Covid-19 recovery
