End-of-contract data extraction
At contract end, users can export their data through the administrative portal and supported APIs. This includes user accounts, group structures, device records, authentication logs, and audit data in standard formats. Secure Nexus provides guidance to support data extraction and transition, ensuring customers retain ownership of their data and can migrate it to alternative platforms in line with contractual and data protection requirements.
End-of-contract process
At the end of the contract, Secure Nexus supports an orderly service exit. Customer data remains the customer’s property and can be exported via the administrative portal or APIs before service termination. Access is then revoked, and managed configurations are decommissioned in line with agreed timelines and data protection requirements.

The contract price includes the managed identity service, platform configuration, monitoring, support, and standard documentation. Additional costs may apply for extended transition support, bespoke reporting, data migration assistance, or professional services beyond the standard offboarding process.

The interface provides real-time visibility of authentication events, device status, and security posture, with role-based access controls and audit logs supporting secure day-to-day operations and compliance.
Accessibility standards
None or don’t know
Description of accessibility
The service is accessible through a secure, cloud-based management portal using a standard web browser for administrators, and a lightweight client for end users on supported devices. Administrators can configure access policies, manage users and devices, and monitor security events. End users can securely access approved applications, data, and internet services but cannot modify security policies or bypass enforced controls.
Accessibility testing
The service is accessible through a secure, web-based portal and supported desktop and mobile endpoints. End users can securely authenticate, access approved applications, and manage their own credentials where permitted. Administrators can create and manage users, devices, access policies, and integrations based on role-based permissions. Users cannot access administrative functions or unauthorised applications, and all actions are restricted by least-privilege controls, conditional access policies, and audit logging to ensure security and compliance.
API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
Users can access the service API to automate identity and device management tasks securely. Through the API, authorised administrators can programmatically create and manage users, groups, devices, authentication policies, and application integrations, supporting automated onboarding, offboarding, and configuration workflows. The API can be used to integrate the service with existing IT, HR, and security systems to streamline setup and ongoing operations.

Users can make changes such as updating user attributes, managing group membership, enforcing authentication requirements, and retrieving audit and event data, subject to role-based permissions and API scopes.

Limitations apply to protect platform integrity. Certain high-risk or sensitive configuration changes must be completed through the administrative portal. API access is restricted to supported endpoints, rate-limited, and requires secure authentication. Not all UI features are exposed via the API, and functionality depends on JumpCloud platform capabilities and licensing.

Scaling

Independence of resources
Secure Nexus delivers the service on a cloud-native, multi-tenant platform designed to scale elastically with demand. Resource allocation, rate limiting, and platform-level controls prevent individual customers from impacting others. Capacity is continuously monitored, and usage thresholds are enforced to maintain consistent performance. The underlying JumpCloud platform is built for high availability and resilience, ensuring service levels remain stable regardless of fluctuations in demand from other users.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Secure Nexus delivers the service using a highly available, cloud-native platform designed for continuous operation. The underlying JumpCloud service is built with redundancy, resilience, and automated failover to minimise service disruption.

We provide an availability service level aligned to platform guarantees, excluding scheduled maintenance and events outside reasonable control. Availability is continuously monitored, and incidents are managed through defined incident response and communication processes.

If guaranteed availability levels are not met, service credits are applied in line with the agreed service level agreement. Credits are calculated proportionally based on the duration and impact of the outage and are applied to future invoices rather than refunded as cash.
Approach to resilience
The service is designed using a cloud-native, resilience-by-design approach aligned to the government’s Asset Protection and Resilience principle. Identity, authentication, and policy enforcement are delivered via the JumpCloud cloud platform, which is architected for high availability, fault tolerance, and horizontal scalability.

Core services operate across redundant infrastructure with automated failover, continuous health monitoring, and capacity management to maintain service continuity during component or regional failures. Data is protected using encryption in transit and at rest, with strict access controls and segregation between customers.

Secure Nexus complements platform resilience with operational resilience, including proactive monitoring, incident response procedures, change management, and customer communications. Detailed datacentre architecture and resilience documentation can be provided on request where required for assurance purposes.
Outage reporting
Secure Nexus reports service outages through clear, timely, and transparent communication channels.

When an outage or service degradation is detected, Secure Nexus raises an incident through its monitoring and alerting systems. Affected customers are notified promptly via agreed communication channels, including the Secure Nexus service portal and dedicated Microsoft Teams channels.

Status updates are provided at regular intervals, detailing the nature of the issue, affected services, current impact, and remediation progress. Where relevant, estimated restoration timelines are shared.

Following resolution, Secure Nexus provides a post-incident summary outlining root cause, actions taken, and any preventative measures implemented. Availability metrics and SLA impact are reviewed as part of regular service reporting.

All policies are version-controlled, reviewed at least annually, and updated in response to risk, regulatory change, or material service updates.

Overall responsibility for information security sits with senior management, supported by an Information Security Officer (ISO role) who oversees the ISMS. Security risks, incidents, audit findings, and improvement actions are reported through management reviews and tracked to closure. Significant issues are escalated to leadership in line with defined thresholds.

Policy compliance is enforced through mandatory staff training, role-based access controls, documented procedures, and continuous monitoring. Regular internal audits, risk assessments, and management reviews are conducted as part of ISO 27001 requirements, alongside external certification audits. Non-conformities are formally recorded, remediated, and revalidated.
