• How the planning service works: The NWorld data science service considers the “hunch”, the data points available and the different techniques that could be applied to define an approach to apply data science. Different model types are considered: statistical or ML? Supervised or non-supervised? Bayesian or Random Forest etc. To ensure the problem is well-defined and achievable whilst setting goals and success metrics in line with the objectives and constraints of the project. From this relevant data sources can be identified to gather data, ensuring data quality through cleansing and pre-processing. Exploratory data analysis is conducted to understand the underlaying data structure using visualisations to gain insight to distributions and relationships. Where required new features are created or existing ones are transformed to improve model performance. NWorld consultants will then present appropriate machine learning or statistical models, along with their benefits, costs, and scalability. These models are then trained and evaluated using appropriate predefined metrics. Upon successful development the model can then be deployed into production, with thorough documentation and regular communication provided to the client. Data engineering, data pipelines and models will be built using Python and Python libraries with NWorld’s certified Python developers and Data Science consultants.

• How the training service works: NWorld are not a public training organisation and cannot deliver standard, public training courses. However, NWorld consultants will conduct bespoke in-house training sessions to empower client organisation teams to become self-sufficient with Python and Python libraries. Bespoke training is likely to happen during the services delivery if it has been requested as part of the statement of work. Alternatively, it could be delivered as an additional engagement after delivery services are completed and when NWorld consultants are familiar enough with the environment, data and requirements. This could be a project handover exercise. Additionally, further on the job mentoring of the client organisation's staff can be provided as part of a call-off agreement for support services on a time & materials basis.
