As part of G7's consultancy and project management services, we can provide business analysis and design in relation to implementing a cloud based system. Our Consultants will assess the needs of your organisation and create structured proposals in terms of the necessary architecture, solution design, security and usability requirements of cloud hosted system or software. Pre-defined templates for various sectors can be used to optimise this process.
G7 were awarded Cloud Migration partner of the year 2023 due to our highly experienced team for the Unit4 ERP (UBW / Agresso) application and having helped a number of customers migrate from Unit4 ERP on premise to the Unit4 SaaS / cloud based solution.
Any issues or queries during this time, can then be logged with the G7 Application Managed Service.

With over two decades of experience in working with the Unit4 ERP product, our Project Team Training, also known as Super User Training, is available through:
Classroom-based courses, based on specific areas with full training materials that are focused around Unit4 ERP system support, which can be delivered at your site or remotely.

Consultancy-led, knowledge transfer approach, for more tailored training, led by specific knowledge and skill gaps and tailored to upskilling in those areas. Training via consultancy can be tailored to your requirements and tends to involve fewer people. It does not include manuals.

Application Managed Service knowledge transfer - Our detailed call notes enable users to refer back to previous solutions should the same issues arise later.

For new implementations, G7 can also assist with full end user training, either developing the training material and then delivering, or developing the material for the customer to deliver.

How the setup or migration service works
Having been awarded Unit4's cloud migration partner 2023, G7 has the experience to assist customers with their migration from an on premise solution to the Unit4 SaaS solution (or from another hosted solution to the Unit4 SaaS solution). G7 will manage the whole process and provide assistance throughout, based on an assisted build methodology and knowledge transfer. Using a methodology that allows for parallel work streams, our consultant-led cloud migrations are fully managed to allow organisations of all sizes migrate quickly and easily. Unit4 migrations can be 'as is' or a re-implementation. For the latter, G7 would run design workshops to agree the design, based on our industry knowledge.
For other elements such as data cleansing and software issues, the G7 Application Managed Service offer immediate answers to your queries. We can also help with the testing of the migrated data and for examples, areas such as deletion of duplicates. We can also assist with remote training / familiarisation of any new functionality within the cloud software

G7 have both ISO 27001 for information security and ISO 9001 for quality management accreditations. Utilising a number of industry standard bench-marking tools and scripts, we can provide assurances regarding the quality and performance of cloud-based and in-house systems. These tools produce management reports that are scrutinised by a team of professionals and also the customer. It includes quantitative data collected from key server / software metrics, as well as qualitative markers (from written reports and service desk analysis).

Support levels
Support can be provided through G7 consultancy or through the G7 Application Managed Service. A hybrid extended support approach of some consultancy and access to the Application Managed Service can also be provided. For the Application Managed Service all calls are charged at the same rate, on a sliding scale, starting as low as 5 hours per month at £116 per hour to greater than 80 hours per month at £89 per hour. Hours can be purchased in bands of 5 up to 30 hours and in bands of 10 above 30 hours. G7 provide a G7 account manager and a G7 support lead who will set up weekly calls and be a point of escalation if required.

Fighting climate change

G7 aims are to reduce our footprint as much as possible within the options available to us. We have an Environmental policy that all staff sign up to and which is externally audited as part of our ISO 14001 commitment. We are in rented office space, but we recycle etc.as much as we can. We do not believe we have a large environmental footprint, however the hybrid policy of working from home or the office, seeks to give employees a more flexible approach and less reliance on unnecessary fossil fuels. We have minimised paper output and continue to do so. Our aim is to move more of our servers to the cloud where we are able to schedule them to not be in use continually and therefore, they are effectively switched off during non-working hours. Some employee’s car share and we encourage this where possible.
G7 publish our ISO 14001 renewal confirmation on our website and our email footers.

Covid-19 recovery

G7 continued to offer all services through the Covid pandemic remotely and assisted many of our customers with the change of working in the office to working from home. Even now, many customers prefer to continue using the remote method of working.
G7 now offer a hybrid of working in the office and at home for all employees, to help them better manage their work and home life balance.
G7 carried out all appropriate Covid working conditions, when people came back into the office, including social distancing and rotation of staff

Tackling economic inequality

Full collaboration with our partners throughout the supply chain and during implementations.
All of the G7 consultants have access to Unit4 Community4U ensuring they are able to keep up to date and are encouraged to do so. This results in accreditations for both G7 and the individual. G7 positively encourage consultants to work together to broaden their own individual skill sets in 1-to-1 sessions, with further avenues of progression explored and encouraged, even where training is for indirect skills (i.e. Not necessarily Unit4 ERP based). G7 believe that additional indirect skill sets can widen and compliment an employee’s existing skill set, for their own development as well as for the company.

However, we are a very specialist service-based organisation that is tied to one main software provider. We are always looking to recruit good people and we are prepared to interview such, based on personal recommendation from current staff. Wellbeing

As well as a flexible work at home policy, G7 also offer all employees flexible hours and a private health scheme.
Weekly team meetings are held to discuss any issues etc. G7 offer a flat management structure which allows quick and uncluttered access to senior management.
Although environmentally we encourage at home working, we are unlikely to move to a completely working from home system as we wish to keep a balance of colleagues working together for additional knowledge transfer and their own social welfare.
