- End-of-contract data extraction
-
The geospatial mobile apps are designed around field surveys and jobs, which are typically small portions of a wider dataset.
The apps are not the final destination of the data, and in all expected usecases, the data collected and the details of the job are syndicated back to the customers' GIS application.
Nonetheless, should any data remain unsyndicated on mobile devices come the end of the contract, 1Spatial maintains tools to enable us to extract this data and return it to the rightful owners. More broadly, we do not operate a business model which we aim to or depend on the user losing access to their data once the contract ends. - End-of-contract process
-
At the end of the contract, the mobile apps will cease to work on the devices on which they are installed, due to the licence period having expired. Beyond that, the contract between the customer and 1Spatial will expire.
If desired, an extended licence can be issued, which will extend the duration of the mobile apps functioning, although this is chargeable as it represents a new licence period. - Documentation accessibility standard

- Description of customisation
-
Both 1Capture and 1Edit are highly configurable commercial off the shelf (COTS) products, designed to be customisable for a wide range of use-cases with minimal set up.
For 1Capture and 1Edit, map layers, assets, jobs, styles, rules, and actions may all be customised to suit the buyer's needs, specific scenarios, and data.
Users may customise these elements in a series of configuration components, which may be reconfigured as needed by the customers' own administrators of the application. Configuration may also be locked down should the customer desire it, as part of the deployment process by 1Spatial for that customer.
Scaling
- Independence of resources
-
Both 1Capture and 1Edit are mobile applications that run locally on a mobile device, and can be used offline.
Accordingly, resources are already fully independent at the hardware level.

Being geospatial mobile apps, data is not stored at rest within the 1Capture and 1Edit mobile apps.
Typically, an extract or subset of the customer's master dataset (e.g. of a specific local area) is loaded onto the mobile device as part of a job, which may then be accessed offline. This data is encrypted on the physical device, and may only be accessed through the mobile application in question. - Data sanitisation process

- Deleted data can’t be directly accessed / Cryptographic Erasure
Data importing and exporting
- Data export approach
-
For 1Capture, data is exchanged through feature services (APIs running over secure Internet connection), syndicating back to the customer's master dataset (geospatial databases and environments). In addition, 1Capture users may export data as GML files.
For 1Edit, data is exchanged through GML file transfer, or through integrated through use of 1Spatial's Spatial Management Suite (1SMS). - Data export formats

-
Both 1Capture and 1Edit are mobile applications, and 1Spatial does not utilise its own network as part of the service architecture.
Therefore only the buyer's network is relevant to the security of data when using 1Capture and 1Edit. - Data protection within supplier network

Both 1Capture and 1Edit are mobile applications, and 1Spatial does not utilise its own network as part of the service architecture.

Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
-
As mobile applications designed to work both online and offline, both 1Capture and 1Edit may be fully available at all times once installed.
The part of the overall geospatial architecture likely to cause service disruption for mobile users is the web feature services/geospatial master datasets (e.g. Esri ArcGIS, WFS).
These web feature services/geospatial master datasets are not part of the 1Capture nor 1Edit services, and therefore are outside of the purview of this specific question. The mobile apps are available for the customer to install via their own mobile device management tools.
Accordingly, SLAs and user refunds are broadly non-applicable to this type of service predicated on mobile apps designed to be integrated with other web feature services/geospatial master datasets . - Approach to resilience
-
As mobile apps, a datacentre is neither required nor utilised in the provision of this service.
Both 1Capture and 1Edit are rigorously tested using a suite of pre-defined, standardised tests as part of any release process. - Outage reporting
- As mobile applications designed to work both online and offline, both 1Capture and 1Edit may be fully available at all times once installed. Accordingly service outages are not a possible scenario for the use of these mobile applications. Any errors occurring in the local installations of the mobile applications themselves may be reported to the 1Spatial Support team for triage and fixing.

Operational security
- Configuration and change management standard
- Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
- Configuration and change management approach
- 1Spatial maintains processes to ensure that changes to our services and their associated components are recorded and then evaluated, authorized, prioritized, planned, tested, implemented, documented and reviewed in a controlled manner. A change request must be assessed for impact (including information security implications) and resource requirements before being considered by the Change Advisory Board (CAB). To assist with impact assessment, the identification of related systems/components affected by the proposed change and input from other affected support groups may be required.

- Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
- Vulnerability management approach
- 1Spatial maintains a comprehensive suite of processes and tools to detect and manage vulnerabilities. These comprise: IDE tools which scan for vulnerabilities and deficiencies. Automated scanning in our code repositories, container registries, cloud services, and third-party library registries We conduct annual penetration testing. We assess the CVEs found against our usage of these components to determine severity. The speed of deploying patches depends on the severity of the vulnerability found, which ranges from minutes to months.
- Protective monitoring type
- Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
- Protective monitoring approach
- 1Spatial makes use of a range of industry-standard third-party monitoring tools. These range from detecting malicious attempts to gain access to our services, to monitoring system health, to audit logging for triage and debugging. All of these assist us to ensure that our services are as secure, resilient, and available as they can be. When we identify compromises, we move swiftly per a defined incident management process to triage the severity and implement a fix for any compromise, depending on the severity.
