Fighting climate change

At Cognni, we do business the right way. We have developed a sustainable, inclusive, human-thinking culture that shows how business can (and should be) a force for good. Our continuing investment in staff and commitment to remaining climate positive helped us achieve B Corp certification in 2022 - more evidence of our culture of doing good wherever we can.

We're climate positive! As of 2021, Cognni is proud to offset 125% of our carbon emissions to climate-positive projects.

For Cognni, reducing our emissions to zero is not enough to tackle the climate crisis. So we're taking action by catalysing more greenhouse gas reductions and removals than we emit.

We've made big changes throughout our supply chain to reduce our emissions, from raw materials to product end-of-life. Where it is not possible to eliminate emissions completely, we're committed to purchasing carbon credits to offset our impact.

Tackling economic inequality

Cognni donates 10% of our profits to charity, where our support has a substantial positive impact on the local community.

We believe that nobody should be denied learning opportunities because of financial constraints. In partnership with Leeds Beckett University, we've launched the Cognni BSc Computer Science Scholarship. The scholarship is available to students who represent the lowest household income band and are resident in Yorkshire.

Equal opportunity

Cognni is committed to promoting equal opportunities in employment. Any job applicants will receive equal treatment regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

Wellbeing

Cognni prioritizes employee wellbeing, understanding the impact of work on mental and physical health. We promote work-life balance, offering flexible working options and supporting career breaks. Medical assistance is provided, and fitness is encouraged through events. Dignity at work is ensured, addressing harassment promptly. Stress is minimized with breaks and support, and sickness absence is managed effectively.
