The Qlik Sense platform allows organisations to move to the cloud and flexibly define access rights and permissions to control not just to what users see but what they can do. On the journey to enabling self-service analytics across an organisation, processes, governance structures and responsibilities need to be clearly defined.
We will work with you to collaboratively develop and document a governance framework for your Qlik self-service reporting and analytics solution. The Governance & ‘Ways of Working Framework’ will define the governance structure and the accompanying processes required to mitigate risks and ensure a well-controlled, robust platform for devolved development and administration.
The Framework will cover:
• Administration of licences, users, and access permissions
• Access to and administration of data connections
• Access to levels of development capabilities and functionality
• Devolved administration rights for application development and deployment
• Enhanced role-based data access and security (Section Access) - Setup or migration service is for specific cloud services

Our experienced consultants will review and document your current environment and processes, identify any issues or areas to address and provide clear prioritised recommendations on how to improve.
The Health Check covers 25 key areas which span five core themes, including everything from hardware and security to how successful your implementation has been at informing and engaging users.
• Vision, Roadmap & Integration
Assess how the Qlik deployment aligns to the organisation’s overarching data and analytics strategy.
• Systems & Performance
Review system performance including CPU, RAM, and disk and check for optimal configuration of the Qlik environment. We also look at your testing environment and approach, disaster recovery, and upgrade management.
• Application Deployment
Examine your deployment structure, how applications are organised and presented, scheduling and performance of data reloads, security and governance, testing and release.
• Application Development
Review your development processes and assess applications against best practice development, considering the data structure, application design, performance optimisation and documentation of deployed applications.
• Adoption & Integration
Evaluate additional factors which influence the overall performance of your Qlik deployment and user experience. These include data and analytics maturity, capability and skills, data literacy, and user engagement.

We use the Microsoft Azure Monitoring dashboard to track our services alongside with manual auditing/logging controls. Azure allows testing environments which can be assessed for both performance and security prior to release.
We have a standard incident management process embedded within our support solution.

Covid-19 recoveryCovid-19 recovery
When the pandemic started in March 2020, Catalyst made it's award winning Athena Command Centre available free of charge to many of our NHS clients in order to track incoming patient levels and bed availability. We continued to provide this service to 7 NHS trusts for the first 12 months until the main outbreak had been curtailed.
During that period, Catalyst created a virtual training environment and moved 53 onsite projects to remotely deployed projects. This has allowed both Catalyst and our customers to continue to deliver their services and recover effectively as a result of Covid-19.
Within the workplace, Catalyst supported it's staff by creating a completely virtual office which we have maintained allowing our staff the ability to work from home or selected locations to suit their ongoing requirements.
