RazorSecure provides a managed Second Line Support service for its cloud-hosted platform and deployed software, designed for rail and operational technology environments.
Second Line Support includes access to the RazorSecure Dashboard and hosting of the RazorSecure Cloud Environment. Customers receive standard self-service reporting via the dashboard and a monthly threat report summarising detected activity, trends, and recommendations.
Software Support and Maintenance is provided on a per-unit basis and includes access to software and security updates, packages built for the target environment, and email support for software-related issues.
The service includes a 99.9% availability target for the RazorSecure Dashboard and cloud environment. RazorSecure onboard software is tolerant of temporary cloud unavailability, and data is retained locally during outages. A monthly threat review call is provided to review findings and recommendations, along with a weekly alert review undertaken by RazorSecure analysts.
During the rollout and onboarding phase, customers are assigned a Project Manager and Implementation Engineer. During live operation, customers are supported by a named Engineer, who acts as the primary technical point of contact and coordinates access to specialist engineering and cybersecurity resources when required.

RazorSecure supports users in starting to use the service through a structured onboarding process designed for operational and security teams.
Users are provided with clear onboarding documentation, including step-by-step guides covering initial access, system configuration, and day-to-day use. Documentation is available online and includes deployment guidance, configuration examples, and explanations of alerts and reporting.
Online training sessions are available to introduce users to the service, explain key concepts, and demonstrate common operational workflows. These sessions can be tailored to different user roles, such as administrators, operational users, and security analysts.
Where required, RazorSecure can provide additional onboarding support, including assisted configuration, deployment planning, and integration guidance. For customers with complex environments, optional onsite training or remote workshops can be arranged to support initial deployment and operational readiness.

What can be customised
- Users can configure monitored devices, networks, alert thresholds, and detection rules to reflect their specific operational technology environment. Dashboards can be tailored to display relevant alerts, metrics, and views for different user roles. Alerting behaviour, reporting outputs, and data retention settings can also be adjusted. Where required, additional monitoring capabilities, integrations with external systems, or dashboard enhancements can be developed.
- Standard customisation is carried out through the web-based user interface, allowing authorised users to manage configuration settings, dashboards, alerts, and users without technical intervention. For more advanced requirements, customers may engage RazorSecure to deliver custom development, including additional monitors, integrations with third-party systems, or enhancements to visualisation and reporting. RazorSecure can also provide managed deployment and configuration services where requested.
- Customisation through the user interface is controlled by role-based access and is available to authorised administrative users within the customer organisation. Advanced custom development and managed services are delivered by RazorSecure in collaboration with the customer, ensuring changes are implemented safely and in line with operational and security requirements.
Scaling
- Independence of resources
- RazorSecure ensures resource independence through a distributed edge-to-cloud architecture. Edge Isolation: Primary IDS processing occurs locally on the device. This physical isolation ensures one client’s data load cannot impact another’s real-time detection performance. Cloud Backend: Our backend uses containerized microservices with Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA) to provision compute resources dynamically based on demand. Logical Separation: We implement partitioning at the database and application layers. Rate-limiting and throttling policies prevent single-user spikes from affecting API availability. Continuous 24/7 monitoring triggers automated load balancing to maintain SLAs for all users concurrently.
