one.network Traffic Insight Suite
one.network Traffic Insight Suite enables traffic control centres, highway network management teams and traffic management teams to monitor real-time activity on the road network. Real-time data powers insights into traffic conditions and network health, highlighting issues caused by roadworks and other events. Analysis of past traffic disruption informs better planning.
Features
- one.network Traffic Insight Suite comprises the following cloud-based modules:
- “Essentials”: plan and communicate authoritative roadworks, road closures, diversions.
- Integration of additional data layers and live feeds available.
- “Network Monitor”: visualise real-time traffic disruption using floating-vehicle data.
- “Route Monitor”: monitor performance of key route networks.
- “Traffic Replay”: visualise previous TM interventions for better planning.
- "Traffic Simulator": model impact of roadworks on traffic flows, congestion.
Benefits
- Real-time highway network management intelligence highlighting severe/unusual congestion.
- Monitor traffic hotspots and relate them to root causes.
- Confirm when road closures are actually in force.
- Measure route performance before, during and after major works.
- Analyse route metrics performance over time against KPIs.
- Dashboards and user-defined intelligent alerts deliver actionable insights.

Fighting climate change
Since 2011 one.network has sought to both support and proactively advance its customers’ environmental protection agendas. We have done this both though our SaaS operating model and through the environmental benefits delivered through the use of the one.network software platform.
one.network’s solutions are all designed to support road authorities’ efforts to better plan and communicate disruptions to the road network – to maximise road network capacity, to improve collaboration between highway authorities and utility companies, to improve communication with all road users, and to reduce planning and implementation errors. Each of these aims delivers against the climate change Social Value theme, by reducing congestion and disruption, and therefore improving air quality.
When discussing our technology roadmap with our customers, we are seeing increased appetite for how we might incorporate data from customers’ environmental projects (particularly IoT sensors for air quality or flooding), bringing a more explicit focus on the environmental benefits delivered by our platform.
Our SaaS platform is hosted on Amazon Web Service (AWS) infrastructure which, according to a study by 451 Research, has been shown to be 3.6 times more energy efficient than the median of surveyed enterprise data centres. AWS is the market leader in “green” cloud hosting and currently uses over 50% renewable energy resources across its global operations and is tracking to achieve 100% renewables by 2040.
The move to cloud systems also helps delivers our customers’ environmental targets as identified in the Government report “Greening Government: ICT and Digital Strategy 2020-2025”, enabling less reliance on office working, safer working environments, and significant carbon reduction through reduced commuting. - Tackling economic inequality

Tackling economic inequality
one.network’s platform supports highway authorities with digital transformation – providing a single, digital source of truth across all aspects of the ecosystem, in place of paper-based or siloed legacy systems. The UK faces a growing digital skills gap – techUK recently estimated this to cost the economy £6.3bn in lost GDP each year – and providing local authorities with access to modern SaaS solutions is imperative to attracting new talent to the industry, reducing barriers to employment and providing greater opportunities for skills development.
one.network offers extensive training to its users, including a recently launched accreditation scheme as part of proactively encouraging the adoption of best practice and uptake of new digital skills.
one.network is an innovative SME, recently awarded Transport Tech Company of the Year (2021 UK Business Tech Awards) and Project of the Year (at both the 2021 Street Works UK Awards and the 2021 ITS UK Awards). These innovations deliver cost savings and service improvements to our customers, and reduce disruption to businesses and road users.
