Getting started
"Our on-boarding process includes training and implementation sessions, which are standard for our customers and at no additional cost beyond the license fee. Proofpoint is committed to your successful implementation and ongoing program rollout, which is why, unlike other vendors, our Customer Technical Support is included in the software fees and there is no limit placed on the amount of interaction that our customers can have with our Customer Technical Support team.

Customer Support will notify you to schedule a webinar for an onboarding and implementation meeting. Proofpoint conducts training through web conferences and demonstrations by walking you through all features of the Security Education Platform including user upload, creation of training assignments and assessments, and reporting. This interactive approach uses screen sharing, so you are provided hands-on learning during the training. Your questions can be immediately addressed, and there is no limit to the number of training sessions you require. The administrator(s) can also reach out to Proofpoint Customer Technical Support at any time for refresher training or expert advice at no additional cost. Customer Technical Support is available via Live Chat, telephone, and email Monday through Friday from 7a.m. to 9p.m(ET) and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m(BT).

Administrators also have the option to configure two training modules in our library Proofpoint’s Password Security and Password Management training modules offer industry-first configurable modules to teach users your company’s password policy through universal best practices in password creation. Administrators can now configure settings to reflect your organization’s password policy, which dynamically changes the content that will be taught and assessed. This helps to ensure end users are skilled at creating strong, compliant passwords within your organization.

Ticket-Based Authentication – Only end users may access the Security Education Platform via ticket-based authentication. End users (not administrators) may access the training modules via a specific URL which may be embedded in an assignment or reminder email notification sent from the Platform. These ticket-based URLs are only active for up to 30 days after the due date of the assignment. On the 31st day after the assignment ends, the links will no longer grant the user access.

Description of management access authentication
Proofpoint personnel are authenticated to the Proofpoint production environment using Proofpoint's AD infrastructure. Customer personnel are authenticated against the customer's AD infrastructure or SSO, only Proofpoint staff with correct credentials and role can access the service and customer data within any production environment, Access is further secured with the use of 2 factor authentication. Staff will be removed from the AD Directory should their access to the production environment be revoked. Customer personnel have access only to their own environment and do not have access to any other customer environment.

At Softcat, we have taken significant steps towards securing renewable energy across our organisation, reducing our scope 1 & 2 emissions. We had the target of using 100% Renewable Energy across all our locations by 2024. We successfully delivered against this target ~2 years early.

In May 2023 we took delivery of 15 electric vehicles, replacing all existing fossil-fuelled company cars used by employees for business means. The implementation of the EV pool fleet will see a saving of over 80 tons of CO2e per year. A huge impact on our Net Zero targets.

We work collaboratively with many schools that are close in proximity to our offices, to ensure we are actively supporting the community as well as schools from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

We visit the schools to talk about the IT sector and the roles in our organisation, as well as promoting work-experience opportunities during the summer.
