AtkinsRéalis CBRNE Planning services include Threat and Vulnerability Assessment, Risk Analysis, solution design and architecture.
Deploying and securely implementing cloud services for CBRNE functions requires an attention to detail and resilience beyond most applications. AtkinsRéalis provides a range of planning services to implement cloud services:
• Advisory Service – AtkinsRéalis Advisory Services can be built around the unique aspects of CBRNE, planning for protection and response to low probability and high impact events.
• Business Intelligence – Planning the appropriate implementation of CBRNE services requires hi quality business intelligence, we generate insights from data to maximise risk reduction and value.
• Technology Consulting – By adopting a technology agnostic approach, AtkinsRéalis focusses on business objectives, then the process and workflow development first. The next stage comprises of the evaluation of the best technology to meet these process requirements.
• Architectural approach– CBRNE is a complex and challenging space, characterised by legacy and tactical solutions and services. Integration of these service into the cloud requires an architectural approach and planning, delivering incremental benefits and standardisation. We use a variety of tools to create an architecture, from Business, to Enterprise, Data and Technology to underpin cloud delivery. - Planning service works with specific services

We provide training for CBRNE cloud software and hosting services. We can provide instructor and train the trainer, training for users and technical staff to ensure rapid adoption of and smooth transition to new and migrated software. We understand the unique CBRNE operating environment and the constraints and opportunities that provides for training, when deploying CBRNE cloud software and services we use a combination of training models, including:
• Digital training,
• Residential training courses,
• Specialist modules focused on particular aspects of missions,
• Support courses for super users and support staff.
• Various forms of testing to verify training effectiveness.
Training can integrate into the operational day of CBRNE staff or carried out as a dedicated function in specialist facilities. We vary the training according to the key missions of these staff, for example operational staff may be train differently from back-office staff. - Training is tied to specific services

- How the setup or migration service works

We can support clients every step of the way in their CBRNE cloud migrations. CBRNE services are typically critical systems providing protection from high impact events, we carry out risk assessment and plan in fall back and resilience to migrations to maintain the integrity of protective measures.
We start by understanding the operational context of applications, how application are used or are to be used, to understand the constraints and opportunities in migration. Working with users we plan when and how to migrate to minimise interruption and maximise the benefits of migration.
We build up a set of functional, non-functional and user test script to repeat through the migration, critically we maintain a role back plan, and agree with the users and sponsor, how and when that plan might be called upon. The migration itself is typically undertaken in a series of sprints in which the functions and integrations of the new and existing cloud service are built upon, tested and reviewed.
Where necessary we can support clients with the service integration, change management, awareness and training for the new cloud capability to drive early benefits realisation and to minimise any productivity impacts arising from familiarisation. - Setup or migration service is for specific cloud services

Quality assurance and performance testing

- How the quality assurance and performance testing works
-
New CBRNE software or hosting will be subject to a rigorous quality assurance and testing, including performance texting, agreed with the client. We understand the unique performance requirements, particularly of operational CBRNE applications, which have to be accessible 24/7, potentially in emergency situations.
Each functional and non-functional requirement will be tested and accepted prior to deployment to verify its continued operation. Customer journeys will be tested by both testing engineers and sampled end users, where practicable. Performance will be tested in conditions as close as possible to real-world port conditions, including network/internet traffic and transactional load, as well as under exceptional loads such as during operational incidents.
Our quality assurance approach flows throughout a project, at each stage we would independently review and assure project documents and plans. CBRNE projects often require high integrity testing processes, we can deploy approaches such as Malpas, which thoroughly examine code line by line for high assurance applications.
All our UK businesses are independently certified as achieving the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard.

• B - Major, respond in 4 working hours details as per priority A.
• C&D - Functional or intermittent Incident, respond in 8 working hours details as per priority A.

Multiple levels of support are available depending on the criticality of the client services. This varies from support on a time and materials basis, for applications which are not critical to client operations, through to 24/7 help desk and rapid response times for highly critical applications. We build a support service with the client to meet their needs, meshing our internal services and supply chain into an appropriate model. Support services include multiple channels for reporting and communication including phone, email, and internet.
Pricing varies according to the level. At entry level we can provide an office hours, time and materials services with a simple SLA, a spares pool and user training can be provided for self-service, this provides support where a customer needs to call on it but does not bind a customer to a fixed payment. For higher integrity applications we offer an SLA with response and fix times, with standing service desk and engineer support. We price this service withe monthly or quarterly advance payment.
Each service is allocated an account manager who oversees performance and is the point of contact for management and escalation. Cloud support engineers are trained and allocated as appropriate to the service.

We recognise some of the digital and cyber skills shortages facing the UK and are actively participating and promoting careers from school age children through to lifelong training. This is often delivered through STEM outreach schemes such as Governors for Schools programme and CyberFirst. This can include upskilling activities delivered by some of our highly skilled professionals ranging from interview and job preparation (e.g., CV support, Mock interviews) through to technical training (e.g., cyber security, digital skillset, STEM-based careers, supply chain engagement). We promote our full-time opportunities to priority groups based on the area of operation. (e.g., people living in regionally and nationally deprived areas /disabled people/ people who are underrepresented in the industry including Women, BAME, LGBT+ etc.).
We understand the opportunities a diverse supply chain can bring to complement our overall solution we are providing to our clients, such as innovation, improved productivity, novel or new technologies or niche skillsets. As a large organisation we have a large network of approved suppliers from diverse backgrounds including small and medium enterprises that we can utilise as required. These suppliers go through our due diligence process to ensure they meet our standards (i.e. around cyber security) and we are working with suppliers who share our values.Equal opportunity
