Fighting climate change

Our company recognises the need to protect the natural environment. Keeping our environment clean and unpolluted is a benefit to all. We are primarily a remote working organisation, and this is a key factor which will help our business achieve our Net Zero target by 2030, as detailed in our i3Secure Limited Carbon Reduction Plan. We have assessed that our business has very little adverse effect on the environment, but that our main impact is through travel to client sites and our supply chain. We therefore target this activity, by monitoring, measuring, and mitigating against harmful effects.

We have policies on:
- Disposal of waste and hazardous or toxic substances
- Paper and waste reduction
- Energy conservation
- Resource efficiency
- Encouraging sustainable employee lifestyles
- Responsible supplier selection

We have numerous, proactive environmental initiatives to help fight climate change. We are a small business doing great things for sustainability, and that’s how we intend to keep it. The following sections of our policy.

The Together for our Planet campaign established by the UK Government in 2021, encourages small businesses to pledge to cut their emissions to net zero by 2050 or sooner, while helping them grow, adapt and seize new opportunities. As the UK’s 6 million small businesses make up 99% of the UK’s enterprises, employ 60% of the UK workforce and generate £2.2 trillion of revenue to the economy, it is crucial these enterprises take action and reduce their carbon footprint. This is why i3Secure has pledged to become Net Zero by 2030 via the SME Climate Hub, which is a non-profit global initiative that empowers small to medium sized companies to take climate action and build resilient businesses for the future.

Equal opportunity

i3Secure Limited is committed to its pursuit of equality, diversity & inclusion. We want to create an environment that supports everyone, equally and fairly. We want to promote an inclusive culture, and we want to encourage diversity. This commitment is underpinned by the Company’s core values.

i3Secure shall:
- Encourage equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
- Create a working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation, and unlawful discrimination, promoting dignity and respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all staff are recognised and valued.
- Commit to training managers and all other employees about their rights and responsibilities under the equality, diversity, and inclusion policy. Responsibilities include staff conducting themselves to help the organisation provide equal opportunities in employment, and prevent bullying, harassment, victimisation, and unlawful discrimination.
- Ensure all staff understand they, as well as their employer, can be held liable for acts of bullying, harassment, victimisation, and unlawful discrimination, in the course of their employment, against fellow employees, customers, suppliers and the public.
- Take seriously complaints of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination by fellow employees, customers, suppliers, visitors, the public and any others in the course of the organisation’s work activities.
- Ensure such acts are dealt with as misconduct under the grievance and/or disciplinary procedures, and appropriate action is taken. serious complaints could amount to gross misconduct and lead to dismissal without notice. Sexual harassment may amount to both an employment rights matter and a criminal matter, such as in sexual assault allegations. In addition, harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 – which is not limited to circumstances where harassment relates to a protected characteristic – is a criminal offence.
