Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
For customised eLearning courses, Aurion will work with you through a process of content planning, storyboarding, implementation and quality assurance testing to create a course that is entirely customised to your requirements. We will then provide you with the published course files, ready for upload to your LMS.
For CourseKit courses, Aurion will provide you with the published files and source files for your eLearning course. We provide a suite of job aids to help you make any required customisations in-house. If you prefer Aurion to customise a CourseKit for you, we will provide you with a Customisation Request document where you can make note of all your required edits. Aurion's Learning Development team will make the edits, and provide you with an online link to review and provide feedback on your updated CourseKit. After making any final changes, we will provide you with the published file and source files.

Customisation available
Yes
Description of customisation
Aurion's fully customisable eLearning offering is centred on our 'toolbox' of templates, slide/component types and assets, which we have developed in the Articulate 360 suite and our own Aurion High5 design framework. We create storyboards from clients' source content and select the most effective slide and interaction types from our 'toolbox' of approaches to bring the learning content to life in a way that will engage learners and foster knowledge retention.

Aurion's CourseKits are highly customisable: from the addition of client branding elements and resources, to full adaptation of content and addition of new screens. Each CourseKit comes ready to use, but if you want to customise your CourseKit you have two options:

1. You make the changes: Download the CourseKit source files and edit as little or as much as you want. Note: to make the changes yourself, you will need a licence for the Articulate Storyline 360 authoring tool.

2. We make the changes: If you don't time the time or know-how to customise your CourseKit in-house, Aurion can make any required changes for you. We will document your required changes, make the edits, and provide you with the final published files and source files.

Scaling

Fighting climate change

Fighting climate change

Aurion is committed to implementing strategies that promote protection of the environment, avoid waste and support sustainable business activities. Our commitment to the local community and environment has been recognised through awards including a commendation from Business in the Community Northern Ireland for Most Responsible Small Business.
Aurion maintains an Environmental Policy, which is reviewed and updated annually by our Board. The policy is aligned with our Business Plan, which focuses on 5 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Infrastructure and Climate Action. Our annual Action Plan documents and tracks progress against each of the 5 Goals per annum. All new staff are required to review our Environmental Policy in their induction, and annual carbon literacy and environmental awareness refresher training is provided to all staff.
Aurion has signed up to the Climate Action Pledge in association with Business in the Community Northern Ireland. This helps us to benchmark our sustainability initiatives and provides verifiable measures for reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, resource consumption and waste.
We have a number of internal initiatives in the area of sustainability that are incorporated into our business policies as part of our ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. These include a cycle to work scheme for all staff with tax incentives, and regular CSR activities targeted at supporting the local environment and community, including volunteering with local charity, Storehouse Belfast.
Additional initiatives to improve the sustainability of our business include turning off lights/equipment when not in use, installing smart monitoring in our heating system, using energy-efficient hardware, etc. We design our solutions to minimise excess data usage/storage, thereby reducing energy consumption, e.g. compression of images/video, commissioning hosting plans that scale up/down to minimise over-capacity, etc. We reduce paper usage by adopting digital tools/documents as standard. We recycle obsolete hardware/furniture with local charities.
