Our test automation services have been designed to help accelerate our client's projects and programmes. We deliver these services using a blend of junior and senior personnel. Our junior personnel have been through our SDET Academy and as a result perform at a level comparable to many years experience but are priced cost effectively.

nFocus has implemented measures to create new jobs and new skills. In 2021, we recognised a scarcity of testers with technical testing skills. We used an independent organisation to undertake market research to validate the scarcity and having received compelling evidence, we created our Academy.
Our Academy takes graduates and gives them 13 weeks of intensive training in the scarcity with professional qualifications. They’re then deployed into our client projects with a technical mentor to support them.
Our Academy has been hugely successful. We have created 40+ jobs for graduates in just over two years. Our Academy has also been recognized by the UK IT Industry Awards in late 2023 whereby nFocus was named ‘Services Company of the Year’ across the whole of the IT Industry for our Academy work. Given the awards body is run joint by the British Computer Society and the technology brand Computing, we feel incredibly validated and proud of what we’ve accomplished. We intend to continue 2-4 intakes of our Academy per year moving forwards.
We feel this satisfies the requirements in that it has created employment and training opportunities, particularly for people in industries with known skills shortages or in high growth sectors. We also feel it supports educational attainment relevant to the contract, including training schemes that address skills gaps and result in recognised qualifications. By promoting our services utilising this approach, we feel it also influences customers and communities through the delivery of the contract to support employment and skills opportunities in high growth sectors. We have had significant feedback from graduates during the recruitment process that they have a huge barrier to employment on the basis they have no experience. As such, we feel our Academy also fulfils the requirement of creating employment opportunities for those who face barriers to employment.
