Fighting climate change

SmartCo Consulting take climate change very seriously.

We have a published carbon reduction plan which sets out how we intend to become a carbon neutral company within the next three years. This plan was co-developed with an external environmental consultancy and has been signed by a company director. Details of this plan can be found on our website.

Specific examples of what we are implementing this year to combat climate change:
- Use local suppliers/supply chain
- More accurate employee office utility data collection to better report on teleworking emissions
- Arrange for paper waste collection and destruction services to ensure all paper waste is accounted for and guaranteed shredded and recycled
- Have set office days for employees to reduce office usage to 2-3 days total per week
- Ensure office printers are EPEAT and Energy Star certified
- Ensure employee home offices use LED lighting
- Use energy and battery saving modes on all electronic devices
- Ensure paper used is FSC certified
- Have a reforestation grant in place to offset carbon
- Purchase carbon offsets to reach net zero

We also ensure our employees are regularly updated on the latest policies RE climate change.
