Accessibility testing
Dynatrace conducts accessibility validation using a combination of external WCAG audits and the Level Access platform, which provides automated scanning, continuous testing, and annual expert reviews. These audits assess Dynatrace’s UI against WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA criteria and include evaluation of screen‑reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, focus order, non‑text alternatives, and other assistive‑technology–relevant behaviours. Findings are triaged and remediated as part of an ongoing accessibility roadmap. This structured approach ensures Dynatrace’s interface is tested against recognised accessibility standards using specialist tools and methodologies, supported by annual third‑party audits

Scaling

Independence of resources
Dynatrace ensures users remain unaffected by other customers’ demand through strict multi-tenant isolation and elastic cloud architecture. Each customer receives a logically isolated environment with its own data domain, API access, and configuration space. Dynatrace SaaS runs on hyperscale cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), leveraging built‑in separation, auto‑scaling, and high‑availability controls. Data ingestion, processing, and storage are isolated per tenant to prevent cross-customer contention. The platform’s microservices scale automatically with load, ensuring consistent responsiveness during peak activity. This architecture guarantees reliable performance regardless of other customers’ usage patterns.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
He Dynatrace SaaS SLA for Monthly Uptime Percentage is 99.5% for all customers. Customers who subscribe to Enterprise Success & Support have an enhanced SLA for Monthly Uptime Percentage of 99.95%. The current operational status of the SaaS infrastructure, including current incidents and incident history, is provided at https://status.dynatrace.com Dynatrace tracks SLA for Monthly Uptime Percentage performance internally and does not proactively share this performance with customers. More details on Dynatrace SaaS SLA and how to submit a claim if terms SLAs were not met can be found here: https://www.dynatrace.com/company/trust-center/sla/saas
Approach to resilience
Dynatrace SaaS is hosted in the AWS cloud, Azure cloud, or Google cloud. AWS, Azure, and Google protect and monitor physical equipment from security threats and environmental hazards. Dynatrace uses a clustered architecture. Each cluster uses multiple data centers (AWS availability zones, Azure availability zones, or Google Zones) for redundancy within the same geographical region and over-provisions required resources. If a server fails, another server in the same or a different data center can take over, while the fail-over process recreates the failed instance. Data is replicated to other data centers, too. The architecture even allows for the failure of an entire data center. Fail-over is handled automatically. The Dynatrace SaaS SLA for Monthly Uptime Percentage is 99.5% for all customers. Customers who subscribe to Enterprise Success & Support have an enhanced SLA for Monthly Uptime Percentage of 99.95%. See https://www.dynatrace.com/company/trust-center/sla/saas/.
Outage reporting
Updates that require a short downtime (web UI access impossible; performance monitoring still is active) are announced at the status page: http://dynatrace.status.io/ Notifications around incidents are covered under the SLA / subscription agreement with the customer. Dynatrace does not provide automatic reports in the event of DR events because they are automated and should not affect the service provided to the customer. If a DR event causes service disruptions, customers will receive notifications through agreed-upon methods via the SLA / subscription agreement.

Role-based access control (RBAC) determines a user's access based on their role (which is determined by characteristics such as department, location, seniority, and duties). Before introducing ABAC through Dynatrace IAM, the platform offered (and still offers!) our classic role-based access control, where each role had a fixed set of permissions, and each user or user group could be assigned one or more roles. For more information on role-based access control models within the Dynatrace platform, please see the following documentation: https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/manage/access-control.

Configuration and change management standard
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Configuration and change management approach
Dynatrace has a documented change management process in place. Every change is tracked in a ticket in the central ticketing system (Atlassian Jira). Every code change, including configuration as code for infrastructure changes, is tracked in a central version control system (Git). Code changes in system-critical repositories require a mandatory code review (within the Pull-Request). Every code change is linked to a Jira ticket. A fully automated build pipeline, including automated tests and deployment procedures, is triggered for every code change. Every change is monitored to measure its impact.

Dynatrace has an incident response process that can result in rapid containment and resolution of security incidents. The process includes a 24/7 rapid response team where our SaaS ACE team, CISO, and DevOps teams are engaged from the outset to rapidly assess the scope of the incident, contain the incident, mitigate the effects of the incident, and resolve the incident. The process includes customer communication throughout the process.

What the ISO/IEC 27001 doesn’t cover
ISO 27001 is a globally recognized framework designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of an organization’s information assets. Rather than focusing solely on IT security, it mandates a Risk Management approach where a business identifies its specific data threats and implements a tailored "Information Security Management System" (ISMS) to mitigate them.

What the ISO 9001 doesn’t cover
ISO 9001 is the international standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), focusing on the principle that consistent processes lead to consistent results. For an IT reseller, it is less about the technical "specs" of the gear and more about the reliability of the customer experience.
It mandates a "Plan-Do-Check-Act" (PDCA) cycle, requiring the business to document how it handles everything from sales inquiries and order fulfillment to customer complaints and supplier vetting. By shifting the focus from "fixing mistakes" to preventing them through continuous improvement, ISO 9001 ensures that a client receives the same high level of service every time they order. It serves as a structural guarantee that the business is managed through data-driven decisions and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, rather than luck or ad-hoc effort.
