Social Value
- Tackling economic inequality
-
Tackling economic inequality
Our platform increases access to jobs (because it facilitates a direct connection between school and teacher, rather than an intermediated one), significantly reduces cost to schools compared to other similar job advertising providers representing excellent value for money, enables an uplift in pay to supply teachers, and increases fluidity in the local labour market through the integration of talent attraction, workforce engagement, perm/fixed term recruitment and supply resourcing activity. Schools can procure supply and post permanent roles without any ongoing margins or fees; but they can access the support of the Teacher Booker team for vetting services and off-payroll services if such support is required. By cutting out costs in the supply chain, local candidates are able to earn more, thereby tackline economic inequality that is endemic especially in the temporary staffing market in education, and simultaneously schools are able to save money on talent attraction, supply provision and permanent placements. Teacher Booker is an accredited Living Wage Employer, and all candidates working through our employment services are paid the Living Wage as a minimum. - Equal opportunity
-
Equal opportunity
Our technology and systems are designed to be extremely user friendly, accessible to all and are constantly iterated upon and improved in this regard to minimise any potential disadvantage that could be conferred on individuals with protected characteristics. This is in line with the Public Sector Equality Duty legislation.
Where an equality and diversity statement is available, this can be incorporated into the job listing as can any additional content related to positive action in recruitment.
Adverts published via our recruitment platform and integrated careers site service are public and available to any jobseeker to engage with. We monitor adverts published via our systems for discriminatory statements or other content that is not in line with the Equalities Act 2010 via a combination of aggregated analytics and continual superadmin oversight.
Recruitment processes and workflows facilitated by our systems are customisable and can be tailored to the clients requirements. They are also by default collaborative, transparent and auditable – ensuring that each decision made during the recruitment process is accountable. We have a complaints and escalation procedure in place for grievances and complaints made during both the recruitment and the contingent staff provision services and technologies that we offer as well as feedback opportunities for system users which ensure accountability during the recruitment process and enable audit both in real time and post factum.
We continually monitor changes in legislation and guidance and provide equality of opportunity training to all employees to ensure our team’s understanding of such legislation is up to date. This training covers evolving terminology, amendments to existing policy and procedure and collaborative reviews of content published via our systems.
