All accounts comes with API access to your data graphs. Each Data Set can be configured with Public or Private access. You can grant one or more API keys to use the APIs. A Data Set with public access means the API can be used with only the API key, and is suitable for integrating with a public facing app, where you are happy for yor data to be publicly accessible. A private access Data Set can only be accessed via its API using OpenID / oAuth secure authentication. In this case, you must use credentials to request an authentication token, which can then be used to make API requests along with the API key.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability

Approach to resilience
DataGraphs uses extremely robust enterprise-grade cloud storage. Multiple copies of data is stored in a distributed data store. Backups are taken very frequently, and the backups are also stored securely and robustly. While no storage service can ever rule out a catastrophic failure, the patterns we use are designed to mitigate the risks of data loss and include disaster recovery.

Fighting climate change

Fighting climate change

Data Graphs can be used to create a climate change knowledge graph that encodes a collaboratively defined model of the domain, or subdomains of most interest, which are then populated with human-readable and machine-readable datasets to create common terminologies for describing the problem space. This is a critical enabler of discoverability, reusability and interoperability of climate change data and workflows - which will help minimise research duplication, maximise situational awareness and optimise the efficiency of progress towards its solutions.
