How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Roq is a values-driven, outcomes-focused Quality Engineering and software testing consultancy. We place client needs at the core of our service delivery model, adopting a proprietary Understand>Define>Deliver approach to each client engagement. As an independent provider, we have the expertise and acute focus on quality needed to provide thought-leadership in this area. To fully understand the requirements, this may involve a short discovery exercise, working with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and partners (as early as possible) to determine key objectives, timelines, and other variables – in keeping with our ‘shift-left’ ethos.

Support levels
Roq provides support related to Quality Engineering, Software Testing and Quality Assurance. This is done via the client's most appropriate channel, i.e. by phone, email, in-person, web chat, or other collaboration platforms. Each of our clients is also assigned a managing consultant, accountable for ensuring that Roq is meeting any agreed key SLAs and building a strong partnership to anticipate any fluctuations in demand. Typically they will hold regular meetings (usually face-to-face) as regular checkpoints, to discuss engagement performance and handle any commercial elements of the engagement.

Fighting climate change

Roq considers protection of the environment in which we live and operate to be sound business practice. We endeavour to reduce our environmental impact to an absolute minimum in the following ways:

• We use a local company for recycling all our plastic, metal, paper and cardboard

• We operate a predominantly paperless office where printing is kept to an absolute minimum and we use electronic documents where possible

• We provide a mains-fed water cooler in the office to reduce the use of plastic water bottles

• We endeavour to keep wastage to a minimum, using all resources in an efficient yet effective manner

• We ensure all employees are aware of this policy and our collective responsibilities so that we all work within an environmentally aware culture

Equal opportunity

It is Roq's aim to create an environment that encourages and values diversity. We aim to draw upon the widest possible range of views and experiences in order to meet the changing needs of our colleagues, clients and partners. We seek to promote diversity and to respond to the needs of all individuals in a fair, consistent and equitable manner, whilst observing our responsibility to current legislation.

Wellbeing

All Roq employees have access to the Employee Assistance Programme (Wellbeing Hub). This programme offers free counselling, financial and legal advice as well as online information regarding areas such as moving house, consumer disputes, divorce, speeding tickets, child support and wills. The service provided is anonymous and we have no visibility of who has contacted the Programme or what it was regarding.
