Fighting climate change
Fighting climate change
We are aspirating to become a signatory to the Climate Pledge. As a micro business we have a long way to go but we will be working to the Net Zero by 2040 pledge and doing our part in meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement.
We do this by:
1. Eliminating the use of paper and printing services for client business.
2. Eliminating non-essential travel. Where travelling is essential, we will be aiming to use public transport, electric vehicles, travel by foot or cycling. We do not expect to travel by plane for work, should that situation change, we will adopt a carbon offset scheme.
3. (If we grow beyond 20 employees before 2040) Measuring our carbon footprint and improving our working practices to ensure that as a business, we are on track to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.Covid-19 recovery
Covid-19 recovery
We are actively supporting the NHS, care sector and local communities to recover from Covid. We do this by:
1. Providing free patient and citizen insights to organisations to improve the experience of their service users
2. Offering work experiences via local community interest groups and charities to under-privileged young people adversely affected by job losses within their local communities during Covid
3. Educating and coaching NHS and care sector via the FutureNHS AnalystX to use new patient flow insights for planning Covid recoveryTackling economic inequality
Tackling economic inequality
We made a conscious decision to become a not-for-profit specifically to tackle economic inequality. We do this by:
1. Eliminating shareholders to prevent wealth or income transfer to non-employees of the business
2. Paying people who work for us above national living wage and industry market rates, where market rates for specific roles are comparable and available.
3. Offering work experiences to under-privileged young people through local community interest groups and charities.Equal opportunity
Equal opportunity
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.
This policy applies to all employment practices within our organization, including hiring, recruiting, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, leave of absence, compensation, benefits, training, and apprenticeship. We make hiring decisions based solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs at the time.Wellbeing
Wellbeing
We aim to provide a supportive, collaborative and compassionate working environment for our staff, contractors and directors.
We do this by:
1. Providing flexible working to fit work around our teams' personal lives
2. Enabling our teams to decide on the best environment for them to work from, with no expectations to travel for work
3. Providing a comprehensive suite of professional technology and tools to empower our teams to work collaboratively
4. Empowering each member of the team to take time off for their mental health and wellbeing
5. Creating a workplace that respects work-life balance by ensuring everyone we work with adheres to the flexible working conditions of individuals in our teams and client teams
