Support Levels
Squiz provides Standard Support included with all subscription services, plus an optional Premium Support upgrade. Standard Support gives access to the MySquiz support portal, self‑help resources, incident logging, and business‑hours response. Premium Support expands this with 24/7 access for higher‑priority issues, faster response targets, and telephone support, and allows more nominated contacts to raise cases.
Response Targets
Support response times are tiered by priority. For Premium Support, critical (P1) issues receive a response in 30 minutes, high (P2) in about an hour, moderate (P3) in hours or business days, and low (P4) within business days. Standard Support has longer response windows but follows a similar priority model.
Costs
Pricing for Premium Support is typically structured as an annual percentage of subscription fees and varies based on region and service package. Specific percentages are set out in subscription or order documentation.
Dedicated Support Roles
While Squiz includes account managers and a Customer Care team as standard, dedicated Technical Account Managers or Cloud Support Engineers are usually part of higher-tier support agreements or available as add-ons at additional cost. These roles provide proactive guidance, strategic planning, and priority handling. - Support available to third parties

- Getting started

Squiz DXP helps users start quickly through a combination of online resources, training, and professional support. Users have access to comprehensive documentation covering platform capabilities, workflows, and best practices. The Squiz Academy offers structured online courses, hands-on tutorials, and guided exercises, allowing teams to gain practical experience at their own pace. Webinars and video guides provide additional insight into key features and workflows.
For organisations requiring more tailored support, Squiz offers onsite or virtual training delivered by experienced consultants. Users can also leverage the full range of professional services and technical capabilities through Squiz’s delivery, strategy, consulting, and implementation teams. These teams help organisations plan, configure, integrate, and optimise their digital experiences, ensuring rapid adoption and alignment with business objectives.
The platform’s intuitive graphical interface and low-code tools further reduce the learning curve, enabling non-technical users to manage, personalise, and extend content and integrations effectively. By combining structured training, accessible documentation, and expert services, Squiz ensures that teams of all technical levels can adopt the DXP efficiently, realise value quickly, and confidently deliver high-quality digital experiences at scale. - Service documentation

- End-of-contract data extraction
-
Squiz DXP enables users to extract their data at the end of a contract to support business continuity and migration needs. Content, assets, metadata, and site structures can be exported using the platform’s built-in export tools or APIs, with data provided in open, standard formats to facilitate migration to other systems.
The DXP’s graphical interface allows users to select and export content, forms, pages, and datasets, while developers can use APIs for automated or bulk extraction. Custom export requests are also available but may require additional professional services or technical support and would be quoted on application.
While most digital assets can be exported, there are limitations for certain items unique to Squiz DXP, including platform-specific configurations. It is also important to note that the SaaS application itself is not exported in this process, only the underlying content, structures, and associated data are provided.
Squiz provides guidance and support during contract closure to ensure data extraction is complete, structured, and usable where possible. This approach allows organisations to retain control of their digital assets and migrate them efficiently to other systems, maintaining continuity and compliance with internal or government regulatory requirements. - End-of-contract process
-
At the end of a Squiz DXP contract, Squiz issues a formal written notification confirming non-renewal and outlining the planned service decommissioning date. The service remains fully operational until the agreed final day of service, allowing customers continued access during the notice period. The notification also sets out the data removal schedule and reminds customers of the data portability and deletion terms agreed within the Subscription Agreement.
Customers may request export or download of their content, data and applications within 30 days of contract termination or expiry. Squiz will make this data available in line with the agreed process. After the 30-day post-termination period, Squiz may delete or render inaccessible all customer data and applications, unless retention is legally required. Squiz is not obliged to retain data beyond this period.
Once the data access window has closed, the hosting environment is decommissioned in line with Squiz’s standard operational and security procedures. Customers are supported throughout the process and can contact their Squiz account representative for clarification on timelines, data access or decommissioning activities. - Documentation accessibility standard

- Differences between the mobile and desktop service
- Squiz DXP is designed to deliver responsive, mobile‑friendly digital experiences across websites, portals and apps. The platform supports modern responsive design so content, layouts and navigation adapt to different screen sizes and devices as part of its content management and delivery capabilities. This means users get a consistent, usable experience on mobile, tablet and desktop without separate mobile‑only versions. Developers and designers can preview and adjust layouts for various devices during build, ensuring touch‑friendly interaction and optimized performance across devices. The adaptability of templates and components means feature sets remain consistent, with only presentation and layout changing for smaller screens.

- Squiz DXP’s service interface is a central, web-based console providing intuitive access to all platform capabilities from a single dashboard. Users navigate via clear menus to manage services, workflows, logs, and configuration settings. Administrators oversee users, workspaces, and system settings, while editors and developers access tools specific to their roles, with user based access available. Contextual dashboards display performance and experience metrics, and pages are fully responsive across devices. Functionality is presented through organised menus, dashboards, and tiles, making navigation and task execution straightforward across content management, search, analytics, optimisation, personalisation, and integrations.
- Accessibility standards
- WCAG 2.2 AA
- Accessibility testing
- We conduct accessibility testing on the Squiz DXP interface and features to help ensure they work with assistive technologies. This includes automated audits of content using built‑in tools that check against WCAG standards and highlight issues for editors to fix. We also review interfaces for compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation as part of manual testing during development cycles. Findings from these tests are used to improve semantic structure, labels, focus order and other accessibility aspects. While automated and internal tests are routinely performed, ongoing accessibility evaluation and improvements continue as part of our development and quality assurance processes.
- API
- Yes
- What users can and can't do using the API
-
Squiz DXP provides a comprehensive set of APIs to integrate, manage and extend platform functionality, including content, search, personalisation, and asset management. Users can set up services, manage assets, and connect external systems using these APIs. All integration points are also accessible through Squiz’s graphical user interface, enabling teams to configure, deploy and monitor integrations without heavy reliance on API code. This low-code approach simplifies setup, reduces maintenance, and ensures consistent governance.
A large range of pre-built connections for common marketing tools, including CRM, analytics, and customer data platforms, are available via the Squiz Marketplace, allowing organisations to quickly link best-of-breed solutions with minimal technical effort. While the API supports automation, data synchronisation, and content delivery workflows, some endpoints remain read-only, and certain advanced configuration options are only available through the console. By combining API access, low-code visual management, and pre-built integrations, Squiz DXP empowers technical and non-technical teams to implement, adjust and maintain integrations efficiently, improving productivity and reducing dependency on specialised developer resources while maintaining secure and governed access across all connected systems. - API documentation

- Description of customisation
-
Squiz DXP offers extensive customisation to support unique business needs and brand identity. Users can customise content structures, layouts, templates, navigation and page design using the platform’s visual tools and component‑based page builder. Personalisation rules and audience segmentation allow tailored experiences for different visitor groups, while integrations connect external systems and data sources to extend functionality. A large range of pre‑built connectors and blueprints in the Squiz Marketplace further accelerates customisation for common marketing tools and CRM systems. Custom forms, workflows and metadata schemas can also be defined to support specific business processes.
Customisation is achieved through the DXP console’s graphical interface and, where needed, by developers using APIs or custom components, which gives flexibility without heavy coding. Content editors, marketers and experience designers can personalise and configure pages, forms and journeys, while administrators control permissions, roles and system settings. Developers and technical teams can implement deeper functional changes, build bespoke components, and extend integrations to meet complex requirements. This structure ensures that both technical and non‑technical users can tailor the service to their business needs effectively.
Scaling
- Independence of resources
- Squiz DXP is delivered as a cloud-hosted SaaS platform with logical separation between tenants. Customer data is stored privately and access is controlled with separate credentials. The platform leverages Cloudflare for caching, traffic distribution, and protection against spikes and DDoS attacks, reducing load on core services. Combined with AWS infrastructure, load balancing, automatic scaling, and multi-availability zones, this ensures high usage by one customer does not affect others. Continuous monitoring and proactive resource management maintain performance and availability, guaranteeing that all users experience consistent, reliable service regardless of demand placed by other tenants.

The search analytics dashboard tracks total searches, result clicks, top search terms, and user behaviour trends over time. Experience monitoring reports on page load times, site performance, caching, and error patterns to help maintain a high-quality digital experience. Licence usage dashboards display the number of documents indexed and overall search capacity utilisation. In addition, platform logs can be filtered, analysed, and exported to provide insights into service events and operational activity. These metrics enable teams to monitor, optimise, and report on platform usage effectively.

Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
- Squiz provides a clear availability commitment for its SaaS Digital Experience Platform. The platform is built on resilient cloud infrastructure with fault tolerance, load balancing and distribution across multiple availability zones to support high availability and performance. Squiz uses commercially reasonable efforts to make Subscription Services available with a Monthly Uptime Percentage of at least 99.9 per cent for each region during any monthly period. This target applies to service availability as measured against valid requests for published content and data.
- Approach to resilience
- Available on Request.
- Outage reporting
-
Squiz provides multiple channels for reporting and communicating outages to ensure users are kept informed. The public status page at status.squiz.cloud
provides real-time visibility of the operational state of core Squiz DXP services, including cloud-hosted instances, search services, and edge components. Users can see whether services are fully operational, experiencing degraded performance, partial outages, major outages, or undergoing scheduled maintenance. Historical incidents and planned maintenance schedules are also available, giving transparency on service reliability.
For registered customers, the MySquiz portal allows logging of incidents, tracking resolution progress, and receiving updates directly from Squiz Customer Care. Notifications can be delivered via email to nominated contacts. Additional channels such as SMS alerts, webhooks, and RSS feeds can be configured to provide immediate updates when service issues occur, ensuring critical teams are notified promptly.
By combining a public status dashboard with personalised alerts through the portal and multiple communication channels, Squiz ensures that customers are informed as soon as an outage occurs, kept updated throughout the resolution process, and can proactively manage any operational impact. These processes provide transparent, timely, and reliable outage reporting for all Squiz DXP users.

Squiz maintains a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned with recognised standards including ISO 27001, SOC 2, CSA STAR Level 1 and TX‑RAMP. The ISMS covers policies and processes for access control, encryption, vulnerability management, secure development following OWASP principles, incident response, disaster recovery, and change management. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest through AWS-managed encryption.
Security governance includes a formal reporting structure with senior management oversight, ensuring policies are enforced across all operational teams. Role-based access control and least-privilege principles limit system access, and all operational and development staff receive mandatory security training. Compliance is monitored via continuous system and performance monitoring, vulnerability scanning, third-party penetration testing, and automated alerts. Multi-availability zone architecture, Cloudflare DDoS / WAF protection, and logical tenant separation ensure resilience and data protection.
Together, these policies, processes and technical controls ensure customer data remains secure, privacy and compliance obligations are met, and operational risks are actively managed while maintaining visibility and accountability throughout the organisation. - Software Security Code of Practice
